‘’I want to go home,’’ Jamie wails to Alex, grabbing his arm. Alex winced, not just at the touch, but at the answer he’s supposed to give the girl.

‘’I know,’’ Alex coos, taking her hand from his arm and placing it by her side. ‘’Just go to sleep, we’ll talk about it in the morning,’’ He whispered.

Although Jamie had dozens more questions to ask the boy, she had to let sleep take over. She had been beaten and dragged into two strangers’ house, and was sore and aching all over.

‘’One more question,’’ she yawned.

‘’Shoot.’’

‘’Why am I here? I mean, like - why did you guys bring me here?’’

Alex sighed. He couldn’t answer that, because, if he was honest, he didn’t really know the answer himself. It was Jack who wanted the girl here, it was Jack who wanted to try something new and imprison a victim, not him.

‘’I-I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Jack,’’ Alex replied.

‘’I don’t wanna ask him,’’ she mumbled, and Alex concluded that the girl disliked Jack with a passion. He didn’t blame her, really, not many people liked the other anyway.

“Just get some sleep.” Alex sighed again, pulling the blankets over her. Jamie nodded before shutting her eyes, turning over a few times in order to get comfortable, before drifting off to sleep.

Careful not to make a sound and disturb the sleeping girl, Alex crept out of the room and softly closed the door. When he turned around, he almost ran into Jack, who was waiting outside the door.

“What the hell?” Alex hissed, leaning against the door with a hand over his heart in shock. “God damn it, don’t scare me like that.” He muttered, pushing past the taller male as he continued on his way down the hallway towards his own room.

Judging by the heavy footsteps behind him, Jack was following him, and that only seemed to make Alex even more mad. “Stop following me!” He spat, spinning around on his heels to face the skunk-haired man. “I do not want to deal with you right now, Jack. You got it?”  Even with no reply, Alex turned back around and started walking again. Right before he went to slam his door shut, Jack managed to push himself into the room as well, smirking at the enraged look on Alex’s face.

‘’Get the fuck out!’’ Alex screamed, shoving the skinny boy back, into the now shut bedroom door of his.

‘’No! Let’s talk!’’ Jack insisted, in a put-on enthusastic tone.

‘’About what?!’’

‘’The girl! Nice catch, eh? I’ll give that to you, Alex,’’ Jack giggled, slapping the older boy’s shoulder playfully. ‘’I wonder how good she is in the bedroom, though,’’ Jack said, with purpose to piss Alex off even more.

Alex took Jack’s wrist in his hand, squeezing it hard enough for it to emit a cracking noise, but not hard enough to break it. ‘’Don’t go near her,’’ he growled, staring into Jack’s eyes with deadly ones.

‘’Or what?’’ Jack growled, equally as pissed as the other. Who was he to threaten Jack? He should know by now who runs things around here.

Alex opened his mouth to reply, but came up with nothing - instead, he began to stutter while his mind struggled to find the words to say. “I..I..Fuck. Just get out, Jack.” He muttered.

Jack rolled his eyes and folded his arms across his chest defiantly. “No.” He repeated, taking a seat on Alex’s bed.

“Leave.”
