I woke up feeling like someone's watching me from somewhere. I ignored that feeling and sat up on my bed. As I've looked around, I've noticed that the telly is still on, asking us if we're still watching. I looked over the foot of the bed and instantly saw Luna's buttocks up in the air, I chuckle softly, doing my best not to make a lot of noise.

I felt a soft but chilling breeze, I looked over at my windows and saw it open. I stared at it for a few more seconds until the realization that someone might have come inside through the windows dawned on me since I rarely even open my windows.

'Maybe Luna got a bit hot and opened them.' I thought to myself, trying not to overthink it much.

I got up from my bed, walk towards my windows and closed them shut, making sure that I also locked them tight. I yawn and went back under my covers, forgetting about the feeling of being watched.

The door creaked open and the sound of slow and heavy footsteps fill the room. A chill ran down my spine and I've felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I've started praying to God to protect me from whatever danger that's about to come.

I've started hyperventilating a bit because of the fear that an intruder is in my room right now and that intruder might rape and/or murder both me and Luna. I'm not even trying to exaggerate since this has happened a lot here in Wigston, Leicester. Mothers and their children have been raped and brutally murdered on the streets and even in their homes. I suddenly passed out from all of that overthinking and hyperventilating.

I awoke again after some time; I feel like I'm being watched again. With my eyes closed, I cover my whole body with my duvet and faced the other side of the bed.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

The sound of faint tapping filled the room.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Luna sometimes make that sound whenever she's got nothing to do. She has naturally long nails since she likes them long. She also shapes it round so that her nails wouldn't just injure her out of nowhere again. Luna actually bled one time when she tried having pointy nails, and that was the time when she was into wiccans, werewolves, and vampires.

She was actually obsessed with black back then, now it's mostly pink and other pastel colours. She even used to despise the colour pink, but look at how the tables have turned.

"Luna, stop with the bloody tapping. I'm trying to go back to sleep." I groaned.

The sound of faint tapping finally stopped, making me relax a bit and snuggle up on my soft pillow. I was about to fall right back to sleep, but the tapping started again. I begin to start a tad bit irritated because of the sound. I groan loudly and covered my ears with my pillow. It wasn't that effective, but it's kind of muffled.

It went on like that for a few minutes until I've heard another sound: light footsteps.

'Is that git bloody messing with me right now?' I began asking myself.

I lower my duvet down to my chin, so that I could breathe, and opened my eyes. My eyes locked with a pair of pretty, hazel coloured ones, staring back at my chocolate brown eyes. It took me a few seconds for me to process what was happening, but when I did, my eyes grew wide and I was about to scream but the person quickly covered my mouth, placed his or her other hand at the back of my head to maintain my covered mouth and looked over at where Luna is. Her soft snores filled the room, totally oblivious to what was happening behind her.

I saw a dark figure looming beside her, but I've ignored it, telling myself that it was just a shadow of a tree from outside of my window. Instead, I've shifted my attention to the situation I'm in.

Tears began to well up in my eyes and I've felt them roll down my cheeks. I tried to scream my lungs out, but they only came out muffled. Fear is starting to take over, I feel like my anxiety attack is about to get triggered.

My heart began beating fast, my chest suddenly feels like it's tightening itself as I start gasping for breath through this stranger's palm. I started to hyperventilating, trying to get as much air as possible whilst my mouth is covered tightly. My vision started getting blurry and black and red spots slowly fill my line of sight, but then the stranger took his or her hand off my mouth, letting me breathe.

I feel like I'm about to pass out, but the stranger fanned my face, just enough to make me breathe normally again. My vision returned to normal after a while, but my chest still feels a tad bit tight from all that crying.

As I've regained my composure, I opened my mouth, about to scream again, but he covered my mouth with both of his or her hands this time. The stranger made a hushing sound and looked at me intently. This gave me time to actually look at the stranger-slash-intruder inside my room.

The stranger is an attractive looking guy. He has smooth and fair skin, brilliant hazel eyes, a perfect, narrow nose, chiseled jaw, thick but untamed eyebrows, and pink lips that look soft to the touch. His hair is a bit ruffled up, making it seem like he has bed hair, and his scent seems forest-like. He's wearing a forest green tunic and black trousers, although he's not wearing any type of footwear at all, he's basically barefoot.

Mesmerized by his appearance, I stare at this stranger in awe. The muscles on my face that were once tense are now at ease, my eyebrows unfurrow themselves, my clenched jaw relaxes,

And just like that, a peaceful silence envelops us.

'Who is this guy?' I thought to myself.

He slowly uncovered my mouth and stood up with caution. The moonlight from my window made his fair skin look like it's sparkling, his eyes look comforting, and his tall stature doesn't feel threatening at all. His presence feels soothing and familiar, making my once tensed up body relax.

That moment didn't really last long because of the gunshots I've heard. I've jumped on my seat, shocked from that loud sound. I quickly look over at Luna and went towards her, making sure that she's okay and unharmed.

She, unsurprisingly, doesn't look bothered by the loud sound of gunshots. Luna and I are used to watching horror and thriller by now, so we're already used to expecting jump scares every now and then, but she's taken being unbothered by loud sounds and jump scares to the next level after being forced to watch thriller and horror movies continuously at a young age. One might say that she's fascinated with murder stories and documentaries to the point that she's learned how to determine if a bloodshed is new or not just by looking at it.

She isn't the type to wear gothic clothes though, she's actually the type to wear pastel colours. She loves having plushies, she buys at least one from time to time. Her exterior is basically like an innocent maiden's. Her fashion sense differs greatly from her chaotic thoughts and unstable mind, the perfect example of: Don't judge a book by its cover.

I'm kind of the opposite: I love anything black and dislike the colour pink for only a tad bit, but I also like pastel. I'm interested in murder documentaries, but not enough to the point that I'd actually fantasize about them. I'm more into makeup and boy bands.

I do my best to keep her grounded and Luna does her best to expand my perspective and consider other people's opinion and ideas.

Luna groaned as she got up from her weird sleeping position of her bottox up in the air. She looked at me and then at this stranger near us, it looked like she's still trying to process this scene in front of her since she literally just woke up. I guess even hearing those gunshots didn't fully wake her brain up.

'Will anything other than food that smell amazing and her favourite food make both of her brain and body wake up?' I mentally asked myself and I pout at the sight of her.

Seeing Luna lower her head, I wiped a tear that was rolling down my cheek. Since I still feel hot from all that struggling earlier, I grabbed a cloth laying conveniently on my bed and used it to wipe my sweat, after that I fanned myself with my hand and let the air conditioner finish the job.

"Isla, who's that guy beside you?" Luna asks, I felt chills run down my spine and I just sat there, frozen on my bed.
