Chapter Thirteen

The news spread quickly the next day. Everyone learned about Marietta Dupain's return. Even the College Francoise Dupont students.

Alya is at home watching the news right now, while eating breakfast. What she has seen shocked her.

Newsman Jeffery: In another breaking news, Marietta Dupain was found unharmed just yesterday afternoon. Now 15 years old has solved her own kidnapping case and is reunited with her biological family. Bridgette Cheng, the woman who is believed to be the person who took Marietta is behind bars. Now for you're weather-

Alya turned the TV off and quickly grabbed her phone. She dialed Marietta's  number.

Marietta (From the phone): Hello? Alya?

Alya (On the phone): MARINETTE!

Marietta flinched at Alya's tone of voice.

Marietta (From the phone): Ow! Alya!

Alya (On the phone): Is this true? We're you really kidnapped?

Marietta (From the phone): Yes Alya, it's true. The woman who I thought was my mother was not really my mother.

Alya (On the phone): Do you know why Ms. Cheng will do something like this?

Marietta (From the phone): I don't know. Can we talk about this later at school? I have to get ready.

Alya (On the phone): Okay, see you.

Alya hanged up and sighed. She couldn't believe her best friend was Kidnapped.

Marietta put her clothes on and went downstairs. Tina was already waiting for her.

Tina: Ready?

Marietta: Ready.

At school, Marietta found so many kids and even adults staring at her and whispering. She ignored them and took her seat.

Chloe: Look everyone it's Maritrash!

Marietta tried her best to ignore her.

Chloe: How does it feel to find out that you were taken. Obviously bad. I mean, who would wanna kidnap you? You're so ugly and poor!

Marietta had enough so she got up and slapped Chloe. Chloe stood there, staring at her rival in horror and shock.

Marietta: You don't have any idea how i'm feeling!

Everyone turned to look at Marietta, even Adrien.

Marietta: You don't have no idea how it feels to learn that you aren't who you thought you were, to learn that you're family wasn't even you're real family. So shut up! Cause it's not funny!

Chloe looked down and mumbled a 'sorry' then took her seat next to the confused and shocked Sabrina. Marietta looked around and to see everyone staring at her. She grabbed her things and ran out the class.

Marietta ran outside and broke down into tears.

Marietta (Thinking): Why me? Why did she have to take me, from my family?

Tikki popped out her purse and looked at her master in sorrow.

Tikki: Don't cry Marinette- I mean Marietta.

Marietta: See! You don't even know what to call me. My life is so messed up. Why did she take me?

Tikki: I don't know.

Tikki quickly hide when someone approached the crying teen. It was Adrien Agreste.

Adrien: Mari?

Marietta looked up, but then quickly looked down.

Adrien: Mari, please talk to me. What's wrong?

Marietta: What's wrong? My life is what's wrong.

Adrien: Huh?

Marietta: You didn't see the news?

Adrien shook his head. No one told him what's going on. And Natalie doesn't allow him to watch television while eating breakfast.

Marietta: I found out yesterday that I was kidnapped from a supermarket at the age of 3.

Adrien: What?

Marietta: Yeah, the woman who I thought was my mother wasn't my real mom. I don't know why she did it.

Adrien placed his hand on Marietta's.

Adrien: I'm so sorry. You must be in a lot of pain.

Marietta: I am.

Adrien gave Marietta a hug, which she has accepted.
