It was early in the morning, too early, honestly. The light of the rising sun was shining brightly and boldly through the windows of the Matsunos house. Osomatsu gave a small, uncomfortable grunt and he sat up, bringing his hands up to his face and rubbing his eyes with the sides of his fists. The eldest brother couldn't care less over what time it currently was, he was up now, despite how heavy his eyes felt, the dry and distasteful flavour in his mouth and disheveled hair, he was awake. He looked around himself, the brothers sleeping beside him and the way how they all looked so peaceful, he wished he looked like that and not like a teenager the day after throwing a house party. He pulled himself up out of the bed, being careful to not wake his brothers before he exited the room. The red matsu muttered complaints and whined to himself under his breath as he made his way to the washroom. Osomatsu turned on the tap, putting some water in his hands before putting his face in his hands. He had to keep things simple here, no big 'ol commercial face splashes, he knew how those ended. Oh and let him say, he wasn't up for that today either. He took a moment to use the restroom before washing his hands quickly, running his still damp hands through his messy hair, heavy sighs passing his lips.
"It's easier being alive in the afternoon".
He spoke to himself lowly as he dragged himself across the house, entertaining himself with the things he passed by, making his way to the kitchen to try and make himself something to eat. How typical was this start? The eldest gets up first, gets himself.. semi-ready for the day and has himself start off the whole new story. It was classic of him, really, as this new day was here, the firstborn was the first to start it all off too. He normally wasn't the first one up either. Today was his day, or at the least he'd keep telling himself that. The second to wake was Choromatsu, pulling himself out of the futon with a lot less time wasted and a lot more grace compared to Osomatsu. Unlike Osomatsu, Choromatsu hadn't even paid an ounce of attention to the other brothers, he'd had to give enough of that once they were all up. He knew he'd already have to deal with Osomatsu, as he was already up, but that didn't make it less of a pain in the overall conclusion. The third son briefly used the washroom, fixing himself up a little, combing his hair and taking a little more time to make himself appealing and all. Choromatsu's posture lacked as he walked along, making his way to the kitchen, and of course, there stood Osomatsu.
"Choromatsu! Morning".
The older brother spoke smoothly, the words rolling off of his tounge and dissolving into thin air, melting into nothing.
"Morning, Osomatsu nii-san".
It was around 7 am, and while supposedly that was actually an okay time to wake up at, for some jobless neets it was a bit early. The others wouldn't be awake for a while. One by one they'd all drag themselves out of bed. They had a domino effect in the mornings really, it wasn't common at all for 2 of the brothers to wake up at the exact moment as the other.Sometimes it was fun to keep track of what order the brothers woke up in, if they wrote it down maybe they could've made a chart over it too. 'What order we normally wake up in' or 'Who sleeps in later'.. Maybe 'Who commonly wakes up first'. Yeah, something like that. It was always a nice thing to do as they lounged about, that is if they had enough patience in them to wait it all out.
"Choromatsu, you're so cruel.. couldn't you give your older brother a couple more than two words?"
Osomatsu whined loudly as he pouted at the green matsu.
"Eh?! I said the exact same amount of words that you said to me when I first got out here!"
Actually, after those two lines they just gave eachother, now Choromatsu had said more than Osomatsu. Osomatsu couldn't help but snicker to himself, Choro was far too easy to rev up in the mornings, let alone anytime at all.
"You could've at least started a conversation with me..".
The older matsu gave a false sniffle.
"As well as you could've".
"Well, I guess I just did".
Choromatsu rubbed his temples, walking away from Oso as he frowned and furrowed his brows, Oso could be a real pain sometimes, he just wasn't up for that today. The next to wake was Jyushimatsu, then Karamatsu, followed by Todomatsu and Ichimatsu. By this time it was around 11 am, the sun beaming brighter than ever.
"GOOD MORNING!"
Jyushimatsu yelled his welcomes to everyone as they all sat around the table.
"Morning nii-san~".
Todomatsu spoke softly, like whipped cream on fluffy pancakes, with some sweet syrup on top.
"Morning!" "Morning..." "Morning~". "Morning".
The other brothers chimed in with the welcomes.
"It's nice out, My burazas~, perhaps today will be the day where our luck finally arrives for us".
Karamatsu spoke with his usual poetic fashion, stretching his arms out above his head, his expression high and smug.
"Yup, yup. Alright."
The youngest dismissed him before any other had the time to speak up with the usual 'Painful! Painful!!'.
"Hey Totty, you're awfully chatty today".
Osomatsu chuckled softly to himself, a wide grin plastered against his face.
"Oh hush, Osomatsu nii-san".
Todo rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on!! Get your face out of that phone for once and enjoy my company."
The eldest placed his hands on his hips, shaking his head with a sad expression. Todo responded with a long, big sigh, his defaulted cat-like smile changing to one of boredom.
"Come on guys, talk to me!"
The red matsu complained, a tone of irritation in his voice.
"Oh! Oh! Do you guys have anything planned for today?"
Oso asked the simple question to get his brothers talking.
"Absolutely nothing."
Ichimatsu spoke, his dark aura flaring and his voice dark, his expression blank as his eyes stayed half lidded.
"I'm going to go find my Karamatsu girls today~".
The blue matsu, Karamatsu himself, beamed highly, his confidence almost oozing out of him.
"I'm going to a Nyaa-Chan concert. And if I see you there, I swear I'm going to beat you into the ground. Don't even think about ruining this for me."
Choro glared at Osomatsu, his hand balled in a fist.
"Yikes, noted."
Osomatsu put his hands up.
Todomatsu shrugged in response to Osomatsus question before the brothers turned there attention to Jyushimatsu.
"What about you, Jyushimatsu nii-san?"
Jyushimatsu brought up his gaze, frowning softly, earning odd stares from the others. Why did such a simple question cause Jyushimatsu to lose his never-ending gigantic smile?
"Oh, I'm going to try a baseball league."
For once, the yellow matsu spoke calmly.
"I'm nervous."
That was unusual at the least for the ball of sunshine that Jyushimatsu is.
"Awww don't worry, you'll do great!"
Osomatsu rubbed his index finger under his nose and grinned.
"Is that all? Is that all that's going on with you guys today?"
Every brother nodded, some hesitant, some bold.
"Alright, have fun."
With that, the eldest got up and left.Hoooooookay, keeping things down low for the first chapter, I never thought writing one single chapter would take so much consideration! I just hope I can keep up with all of this, Ahahah... wow I would've thought authors notes would be easy too but hmmmm, I don't know.. anyways, have a good day! I'm leaving this chapter here!
