"Krys, tonight's racer is a guy from New York, which means he'll probably know the streets well." Krystal smiled as she heard Katie's voice over her earpiece. Katie was her best friend, and her lifeline when she was out ripping the road apart. "Gotcha." She replied as she turned the earpiece off. She shifted comfortably in the seat, as she looked around the small rest area. The AC was blaring in her face, as an attempt to calm her nerves. Adrenaline was pumping through every vein of her body. She wanted to see how bad she could whip this racer's ass.

She heard her name being called from outside. She stood up and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Long dark hair, light smoky makeup, tight fitting black motorcycle outfit. She looked dangerous. She looked ready. She headed out the door and stepped in the cold fresh night air. She cocked her head to the nearby hip-hop playing, as she ran her fingers through her hair. She loved the feeling before a race. She walked over to her motorcycle, a sleek black BMW K 1300 S model. It was fitted with a custom engine, which would house enough speed to hopefully blast her opponent out of the ballpark.

Her features hardened as she felt a chilling gaze boring a hole into her. She turned around to see a tall man in his twenties leaning next to ...a white Lamborghini Molot. Krystal shifted her gaze back on the man that was smirking at her. He looked like he could be a model. He had black wind ruffled hair and a well-built body. He was dressed in all white, with a motorcycle outfit that accentuated his muscular torso. He stepped forward, his handsome features still set in an arrogant smirk, as he scanned Krystal up and down with dark chocolate eyes that seemed to melt her into a puddle. Krystal felt an overpowering presence come over her, as she dazedly thought that he looked familiar. The loud music faded into the background as she was suddenly self-conscious. The sound of a motorcycle revving up snapped her out of her daze. She looked at the man with defiant eyes. "So you're the guy I'm racing today?" She asked in a steely tone. "The one and only." The man replied arrogantly, albeit sexily. Krystal was quite annoyed by his attitude. She stepped right in front of him, close enough to smell his cologne. She turned her head slightly to whisper in his ear. "Winner of the race gets double the reward." She stepped back and smirked at the handsome man in front of her. He looked surprised, but only smiled hungrily. "I hope you're true to your word sweetheart." He sneered as he sat on his motorcycle. Krystal turned on her heel and walked back towards her own motorcycle. Two could play his game.

Krystal turned on her earpiece again. She pulled on her helmet, as she took a deep breath. She didn't know what went through her, provoking the other racer like that. She took a sideways glance at the man. He was checking his phone. Krystal growled. The mere thought of him not taking her as a good racer made her flush with anger. She was snapped back into reality by Katie's voice. "Keep your eyes on the road! The race will start soon." Krystal set her jaw in determination. She'll have to win this to prove to him that she wasn't some amateur that he could just push around.

The starting signal sounded. The two racers were off in a flash. Clouds of exhaust fume billowed up behind them, as they wormed between slow moving cars on the outskirts of the busy city. Katie's voice relayed potential dangers and obstacle on the open circuit as Krystal deftly controlled the movements of her motorcycle. Her heart was in her throat, and she could feel the blood pumping in her veins. This was what she lived for. The speed and danger of street racing.

She looked in her rearview mirrors for the signature white Lamborghini. She was well in front of him. Katie shouted into her ear for her to make a sharp turn for a shortcut to the finish. She smirked as she zoomed across the lanes and left him in her fumes. She looked at her mirrors again. This time, the white-suited racer was right behind her, and he was getting closer. Krystal snarled as she pushed her bike harder. Tires squealed as the rumble of her engine grew louder. She should've pulled far ahead of him, but he continued to get closer. In a second, he was even with her bike. Katie signaled that there was a sharp bend up ahead. Krystal was determined to widen the gap between the two and leave him eating her dust. She jerked the handlebars to the left, cutting him off, and leaving her first to go through the narrow bend. She smiled. Once they pulled out of the bend, he wouldn't have enough time to make up the distance between them. She swung back onto the main road with the male racer straight on her tail. The road was becoming more crowded since they made their way back into the more populated section of the city.

They wove between slow moving cars, and it seemed as if Krystal was winning. Until her earpiece gave out. Katie's feedback was immediately cut off when the earpiece's battery warning started beeping. Krystal cursed. She had no way of knowing what was around the corner. She could end up in a bad motorcycle accident that could destroy her bike, injure herself and others, or worse. She scanned the traffic for the opposing racer, but she couldn't spot the white bike. The only way for this race to turn out safely was to take the longer route with more traffic, but it could cost her this race. She detoured into a small bend, with very few cars but plenty of motorcycles. She could make her way around this no problem. However, her mind was filled with worry. She provoked the other racer, confident that she would turn out the victor. Now she wasn't so sure. She could see the lights that signaled the finish up ahead. As she got closer, she could see that the white-suited biker had already arrived and taken off her helmet.

Krystal slowed down and pulled off her helmet, glaring at the man in anger and embarrassment. The man had an arrogant grin on his face. "So, are you true to your word?" He asked teasingly as he started to move towards Krystal. His eyes gleamed with confidence, and something else. Desire. Their eyes met, and Krystal suddenly remembered who he was. Colton Chase. The delinquent billionaire son of the CEO, who owned the biggest company in New York City. She couldn't care less. She stepped and leaned against Colton's chest. The contact seemed to shock them both. She turned again and whispered into his ear, "I keep my promises."
