Soul Mates (On Hiatus)

Chapter...I still can't remember the number we're on!

"Team to the briefing room." Red Tornado monotoned. They all ran to where the android was and waited for him to tell them what was going on.
He waited calmly for everyone to settle before speaking, "Extra terrestrial space crafts are closing in. The League is doing everything they can, but should we fail, you will become the new Justice League."
The team sat and watched as one by one everyone died.
Robin saw Batman get blown up while in space. Superboy watched Superman get blasted into nothing. Megan gasped in horror when her uncle was also blasted.
Flash, Iris, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Captain Marvel, and everyone else was blasted and killed.
Red Tornado faced them and said, "I am the last League member. Should I fail the task falls to you."
M'gann tried to stop him, "No! We'll need your help."
Fire put a hand on her shoulder and looked at the android, "Go."
He nodded to her and left. Red Tornado met the same fate as the rest of the League.
Aqualad took a deep breath and turned to them, "We are now the new Justice League."
Reaper hung his head, holding Phantom's hand tightly into his own. Phantom squeezed it and looked at the others. Wally looked like he was going to be sick while the others looked like different levels of frazzled.
"Alright, what do we do then?" Fire asked sharply, her fingers twitching every so often.
Aqualad looked at her unbothered expression with unease, "Are you alright?"
She looked at him and blew some hair out of her eyes, "None of them are my mentors and none of them have ever tried to bond with me. Tell me, why should the fact that they died bother me?"
Everyone looked at her in slight shock at how Fire was able to just brush off their deaths.
"Is this how you would react if we died?" Wally asked breathlessly.
Fire glanced at him and crossed her arms, "No, I would scream until my throat was raw and put whoever killed you in a body cast." The answer was growled in hate as her eyes flashed red.
The red head gulped and scratched the back of his head while Robin looked at her with wide eyes.
Superboy shook his head with a fond look, "Let's get started."
Aqualad cleared his throat while the ghost boys moved closer to Fire, "Yes..." The holographic computer popped up and showed a stray ship near the Hall of Solitude.

AN. I know it's short, but I figured it would be better than not updating at all. Again, I'm really sorry, I didn't have time this weekend because I was doing a bunch of cosplay stuff. After both shows I was exhausted and didn't really do anything after. Anyway, that's a wrap!
