Chapter 9

We sat and talked with Liz for awhile and then Luke offered to drive me home. I didn't want to go home. I wanted to stay with Luke. We got into his truck. I stared at him the whole time. He didn't look at me and kept his eyes glued to the road.

"We never got to finish what we started", I said sighing.

"Roni I'm not gonna have sex with you! I respect you too much", he said.

I sighed again and looked out the window at all the palm trees. I want to have sex with Luke but he wont let me. Weird. Last week he would have taken that offer in an instant. He respects me too much now?

"So wait you start fingering me when your on a date with a diffrent girl and also in a movie theatre without my permission and now I'm giving you permission to have sex with me and you respect me to much"?

"Look Roni I like you alot but"... Luke stopped.

"Nevermind were here goodnight", he said quickly as if he wanted me to leave.

"I wanna go somewhere", I said.

Luke laughed and ran his fingers through his hair. His dimples were so cute I just wanted to poke them with my finger.

"And where is it you wanna go"? He smiled.

"I don't know. Lets go to McDonald or Burger King". I laughed.

I looked in the front window to see Zelda. She smiled signalling me to go. I wonder what happened with Ashton. I hope his nose isn't broken and I hope him and Luke will get along somewhat again. Luke turned up his music. Loud blink-182 was my favorite sound. We sang and I put on my sunglasses even though it was dark and rolled down the window. Luke pulled out his sunnies too and we both laughed. We went into the McDonald's and ordered a large fries. We sat down in the empty building which was now filled with our laughter. Luke's blue eyes stared into mine. It soon turned into a make out session and we giggled all the way into the bathroom. Luke pushed me to the wall and tugged at the back of my shirt. He got as far as taking it off and I stopped him.

"Luke what are we doing. We're in a McDonald bathroom in the middle of the night making out. Besides I thought we weren't friends anymore".

"Roni admit it were way more than just friends. Don't lie you love me". He said smiling.

I punched Luke in the arm and put my shirt back on and we got into his truck. Maybe I do like him. I don't know. We barely know anything about eachother except the fact that we kiss alot more than we should.

"Are you and Beth still... Dating"? A asked out of curiosity.

Luke smirked. "We never were. She pretended to be my girlfriend just to piss you off".

I burst out laughing. So he was just trying to piss me off the whole time but why didn't he just ask me out anyway. I probably would have said no but whatever.

"I only went on that double date with Calum to make you jealous and all those times that I pushed him to the wall and kissed him hard was just to make you jealous. I mean Calum is a great guy but I really went on that date because I knew you would be there and I wanted to spend time with you". I said.

Luke pulled up to me and Zelda's condo.

"Well..." Luke sat in his seat waiting for me to kiss him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. He pulled me closer but I slapped him and got out of the car.

"See you tommorow loser!" I said jokingly.

I unlocked the door and went inside to find Zelda and Max making out on the couch. I started to laugh and they quickly got off eachother.

"I knew it all along. I knew it, I knew it", I said aloud.

They looked at me in confusion. Maxwell stood up and crossed his arms awkwardly. Zelda sat there with a pissed off look on her face. Why are they acting like this. Did they think I didn't know there was something going on between the two of them. I mean its obvious. They've liked eatchother since we were in elementary school.

"Didn't think you were coming home anytime soon Roni", She walked to the kitchen and started to make some coffee. "Anything happen with Luke. He better not of made you sad or I'll smash his face in!" We all laughed and sat down in the living room.

"So is Ashton ok"? I asked.

"Broken nose but otherwise he's fine", Zelda said taking a sip of her coffee. "Your dad called... He's coming home to visit next week".

What? Dads actually coming home. I haven't talked to him in ages to tell you the truth. I hope Luke dosent come over or things might get awkward if my dads here. I mean what will he think if I've been running all over Los Angeles getting arrested and smoking weed with a guy my dads never even met. He trusts the rest of my friends because he knows them all well.

"Fuck!" I said.

"What?" Zelda asked.

"Nothing nothing. I hope dad brings us teas he bought in India". I smiled drinking some coffee.

We said goodbye and I went upstairs. I watched Zelda and Max at the doorway. He kissed her goodbye and u giggled. I love how they've been sneaking around. Like they think I don't know. It's hilarious. Anyways I got into bed and passed out.
