Chapter 1: A life with no meaning

Do you ever just lay outside on a cloudy day and ask yourself "Why the hell am I here?" I know I do. I do it a lot actually. Your probably wondering who I am well, you'll find that out sooner than later but for now we'll just call me L. I would tell you what this story is about butwhats the point of reading the book then? So, for now to understand you'll have to read. I often think 'what's the meaning of life?' But then again I don't think there is one. We're all just a lost cause. That's what I thought until (blank)  walked into my life and from that day it all changed. Well lets start from the beginning because you need to learn about what happened. The day I was born was a beautiful day. Or, at least that's what I'm told. The sun was high in the sky with a crystal blue sky. The grass was still green and the leaves on the trees where a brilliant red and orange. After all, it was autumn. Also, from what I wad told I was a healthy baby girl. I didn't scream or cry. I smiled and laughed. My mother was young and my father was a bit older than her. They didn't make much money yet the managed to raise me and care for me. The day I got home from the hospital was also the day I got my first gift. My grandfather had bought a kitten for me. Very smart giving a baby a kitten. It worked out better than everyone thought it would. The kitten and looked at each other for the longest time. Slowly the kitten walked to me and I smiled. From that point on that kitten never left my side.
