(A/N I'm not sure how this is going to go, so hang in with me. First off, yes the pic is Marinette and Adrien Gender swaped because this is basically them. The eye color is different, but this is a good representative. Also, please don't spam me with spelling mistakes or 'Update' because if you do, I will not fix it for at least 6 months. Just know I'm busy with my other responsibilities, I'm not a full time(sometimes I'm not at all) a writer. This is a short chapter. Love y'all!)
As I lay in my bed, I think about how Thursday would have been.
"Sam?" He looked me in the eyes.
"Yes?" I stare at him intently.
He leans in. I lean in. And...
"Augggg!!" I jump up off my floor. As I rub the sides of my face, I grab my phone. 7:20!? Getting up quickly, I grab my keys and rush out the door. I quickly returned to pick up the twenty my mom left for me.
I sent a quick text to Molly: Hey! I'm off to work! Wanna grab some food when I get off?
As I climb into my car, a 500 GT lime green Shelby Mustang, I receive a text: Sure thing! Can I bring Max?
Sure! See You two after work! And I was off.
When I got to work, I saw Maggie talking to a man. The man, Joshua Lanard, held up a short hot pink prom-style dress. I sneak backstage hoping nobody would notice.
"Sam! For the last time! If I catch you sneaking in late once more, your fired!"
I didn't realize I could be fired from a modeling gig, I think as I stifle my giggles, I guess it is my job. "Sorry, Maggie. I promise I won't be late. Oh, and I have to tell you.."
"Save it for later!"
"Yes Ma'am" I walked down to the changing room. As I slipped into the floor length, cap sleeved, sky blue dress, I noticed the necklace left in the corner.
I pulled at the gold chain until it came loose. I slowly placed it around my neck and left the room. My shoes, a pair of sparkling pumps, were waiting outside the door.
Maggie was still carrying boxes of decorations onto the stage. The boxes were all brimming with decorations, shades of blue and purple occasionally fell out. Continuing to set the stage, Maggie reached for a box of lights. Soon the stage was filled with rainbow colors. Then I noticed Josh had six other girls with him. Each girl wore a long dress like mine in rainbow colors.
A curly-haired brunette wore a stunning emerald green dress while another wore a ruby red one. One by one the girls started walking onto stage, Red, orange, yellow, green. Then I realized it was my turn. The last two girls, a strawberry blonde and a lovely red-head, walked onto stage with us.
The blonde stood in an indigo mermaid tale dress with long flowing sleeves. She looked over at me and nodded. As soon as Maggie had gotten our attention, boys about my age came in wearing suits and bow ties that matched our dresses.
I managed to catch the eye of the boy wearing blue who smiled at me. At we exchanged glances, he finally walked over. Startled, I jump back slightly.
I finally got a better look at him. He was tall with Raven black hair, a strong defined jawline, and brilliant golden eyes that seemed to pull me in closer.
It was like a dream. He stared into my deep blue eyes for just a moment before glancing away and running his hand through his hair.
"Hey, I'm Quinton." He introduced himself. We talked for a little while. He was tall, handsome, and really nice. He was just as nervous as I always was.
"Your partners should match your personalities well, " explained Maggie, "so you should get along fine. Sabrina, please don't cause trouble."
I giggled at her last sentence, Sabrina had almost gotten each of us girls fired more than once. She loved making a fuss.
