        Readers POV 
 It was a hot day and Marco was sitting on the couch while Star went to the mall with Janna. He was extremely bored and didn't know how he lived without Star before now.

     Marcos Pov
   Star and janna were taking so long at the mall so I decided to go walk the laser puppies out in the park. While I was walking I saw Jackie , she has perfect teal eyes and a beautiful smile. I've had a crush on her for as long as I can remember I hope she notices me one day. Just as I think that Jackie starts walking over to me! OMG OMG OMG what do I do. "Oh hey Marco" Jackie said. "H-H-hey Jackie w-whats up". "Chill dude its like you just saw a ghost", Am I really that pale right now I thought to myself? " Anyways" Jackie said " I wanted to know if you wanted to ya know get some food on friday or something"? Wait did Jackie Lynn Thomas just ask me out!! " YES " oh god I screamed I thought and could feel my cheeks getting hotter in a light blush. "Cool" Jackie said.


Stars Pov

Janna and I just parted ways and it seemed like we were at the mall for five minutes turns out we were there for 3 hours . I started to skip home and I saw Marco walking the puppies , " MARCO" he didn't answer it seemed like he was in a trance. I ran up to him wondering if he was alright and as I walked closer I heard him whisper " Jackie Lynn Thomas just asked me out" and swooned. I don't know what came over me but I ran to the park crying. He turned and round and said "Star where are you going"?. I sat at the lake crying but why , I can't like him like that he's my best friend I should be happy. Then I could feel someone getting closer to me so I turned around pointing my wand at them.


Readers Pov

   Marco walked up to Star wondering if she was looking for him at the park or how she even knew he was there. He walked up to Star , she quickly turned around and pointed her wand at him. "Woah woah Star its just me" Marco said. Star had tear marks all over he face so Marco was confused " Star are you alright did you get into a fight with Janna"? " What no of course not " Star exclaimed. "Then whats up"Marco said worriedly. "Oh nothing I just scraped my knee " Star said in a low tone. Somehow Marco knew she was lying. "Ok then , HEY STAR GUESS WHAT Jackie asked me out can you believe it " Marco exclaimed. Star put on a fake smile " Really thats amazing Marco what are you going to wear , can I help you pick something out , how did it happen ." Star said excitedly.

Marcos Pov 

   I told Star the story of how it happened , and she ended up falling asleep in the grass she must be tired she was at the mall for at least 3 hours doing who knows what with Janna. It was getting darker as I sat there watching her sleep. She is kinda cute when she is asleep her buttercup blonde hair , long eyelashes , her pale skin shined in the moonlight. Wait WHAT AM I THINKING Jackie the girl of your dreams just asked you out and you said yes. Also Star is your best friend you don't want to ruin that.
