"what's the answer to number 11?"
"i have no idea." clarke held the textbook so close to her face as she read it, she couldn't ... read it. she searched for the answer to the question they've been skipping for the whole night.
"this sucks. we've been stuck on this question for too long." frisk sighed and ran her hands through her short hair, then leaning back on the bed and held the textbook upwards. "fuck!" frisk started laughing and when clarke turned, the book had collapsed on her face. they both laughed and they heard footsteps approaching the room. chara turned in the doorway and raised her brow at the two.
"still doing homework, huh? glad i don't have to go to school." she jumped on the bed next to frisk.
"wanna help out? we can't find the answer to this question," clarke showed the textbook to chara, who squinted at the book. then she laughed and wrote down the answer on clarke's sheet of paper. the two stared at the answer for a while and then-
"ohhhhhhhhh." they said in unison and then laughed. chara just shook her head lightly.
"took long enough smart ones." frisk threw a pillow at chara and clarke laughed. "what time is it anyway?" her girlfriend shrugged and checked the time.
"it's 2:20. we really should sleep now, shouldn't we?" clarke yawned and sighed.
"yeah. clarke, you can sleep in my bed, and chara and i will hers. goodnight!"
"goodnight!"
"goodnight."
after clarke brushed her teeth and changed, she climbed into bed. before falling asleep, she got a text from lexa.
lexa: how did the sleepover go?
she smiled and then replied:
clarke: great, even though we just did algebra 2 the whole time
lexa: that sucks. i'm just glad my friends are becoming yours. goodnight!
clarke: haha yeah, goodnight!
clarke turned her phone off and plugged it into the charger. then she laid down and turned to the side and drifted off to sleep.
lights began to flash and then everything started to fade.
everything was black when she opened her eyes.
then, she saw a figure walking her way. as the person came into view, it was chara.
"greetings."
"chara? w-where am i?"
"don't know. anyway, i thought i could give you advice."
"what? for what? about what?" clarke was frozen in her spot, confused.
"listen, partner, i know you love a lot of people here. your family your friends- i know the feeling. but you shouldn't trust anybody. you know a few people that are keeping things from you. just try not to get into other people's problems."
"i don't understand why you're telling me all of this." clarke raised her brow, still wondering the point of all of it.
chara just laughed with her head thrown back, and it wasn't a laugh that would make someone sound adorable or beautiful. it was a laugh that was dreadful and painful to the ears. a laugh that could haunt your mind. when she was in eye level, she wasn't really, because her eyes were completely gone. all clarke saw was two empty black sockets that seemed to be staring at her directly. unknown black fluid started to flow from her eyes and mouth and she stopped laughed.
"you should move out this place, partner. . .
b e f o r e y o u a r e n e x t . "
the last thing clarke saw was a knife.
