KEIKO POV

Running through the thick, dense woods, hoping to see the light of day once more, I find myself collapsing.
Darkness. This familiar place, the dark, is my sanctuary. Not this time. I force myself to stay awake, the thought of finding a proper shelter carrying me along the way. 'You can do this.' I thought, over and over, repeating the words in hope they're the truth. A clearing appears, quickly I run towards it, and into the moonlight. 'How long was I here?' I asked myself, it was surely morning when I entered the dark and eerie woods. It must have been hours. I turn around, and there I see it, a giant mansion. I shuffle my feeties towards the entrance, yet my 5 year old feet gave in and I brace for impact. I hit the ground hard, starring at the greenery to the right of me, soon zoning off into my old sanctuary. The place where I used to find peace, the dark.
