The earth. Once a calm place, beautiful in some people's words. Eule never agreed with that, he may not have seen it for himself, but he knew humans have never changed, and if they were anything like they are now, it's a wonder the earth hadn't crumbled long before his birth.
The humans of the "new" earth had closed themselves into "sanctuaries" where they hid from the radiation and decay they had left behind. To Eule humans were terrible creatures, that didn't deserve to be one of the few surviving creatures on the earth.Eule had left his family's sanctuary when he was 10. He had very little choice, he could suffer with humanity or travel. He chose to leave, people thought he would go without making a ruckus, but he had other plans. When he left, he opened the sanctuary, exposing everyone inside to the radiation of the planet, and to the harsh landscapes surrounding them. He was chased off by his father and brothers. Eule's mother was the only reason he had stayed at the sanctuary, when she past away from radiation poisoning. He left, after her funeral. He saw no reason for staying in a place where no one tried to fix their mistakes.
Eule was going to leave anyway, he was one of six travellers, who were supposed to help save the earth, he gave up on the earth, and now even just thinking about helping humanity was revolting.
He had heard from people, in random sanctuaries, about others like him with abilities. Every time someone mentioned them, they would ask if they were his friends. He would just walk off. He didn't want to meet them, there was no reason to help them, or the earth. He had even gone to one of the labs from before the collapse, and stolen the information they would need for their "quest."Eule woke while the sun was setting and began to leave until he heard voices.
"You think someone found it before us?" Whispered the first voice.
"Not a chance only we have the maps with the labs marked on them," another spoke up.
"What if it was the silence?" Another said, Eule quickly realised they were the other "heroes" and they had just come from the lab he was in two nights ago. Seeing no reason to approach them he began walking away, until he heard the sound of an animal. Eule began running toward the sound, jumping a wall to find five teenagers sitting around a fire, immediately he ran for the strange animal. Before he could get to it one of the larger teens sprang up to stop him. Eule dodged the boys terrible attempt at an attack, then hit the boy on the back of the head nocking him over. He then sprang for the animal, grabbing it he began running for the house he had been in. All the teens were too slow to keep up with him. He jumped up a wall to the second floor of a house near him, he then looked behind him down at the teens. The one that attacked him was up now, and drawing nearer to them, he seemed to be the brute, one of the other six, stronger than any man on the planet, but slower than any as well. Eule looked at the others and guessed they were the other "heroes" one of them was a small boy, who he assumed was the Genius, smartest man alive, but the weakest, Eule looked into his eyes and saw something he didn't see every day, blue eyes, very few blue eyes were ever seen anymore, they were even rarer than green. He froze when he saw the boys eyes. he quickly slid down the wall, and walked up to the boy, the others surrounded him, however he didn't look at them, all he did was stare t the boy and pull the files he had stolen out of his bag and hand them to the him. The boy looked confused at first then excepted the files "Are you the silence?" He asked all Eule did was turn and move past the teens surrounding him, quicker then they could react, and climb the wall, still clutching the animal's cage with his right hand.
Eule returned to his hidden home, and looked at the animal in the cage, it was a small one, with three Different colours, he pulled out his mothers old book, filled with information on animals and the planet. He skimmed through the pages till he found something that looked similar to the animal in front of him. It was a Feline, a cat. From it's colour it looked like it was a calico, it's eyes were bright green, it looked like it was still a kitten. Eule opened its cage, it slowly crawled onto his lap and began falling asleep. He sat with the cat on his lap.
He heard faint voices drawing nearer, "you sure they're around here?" Spoke one of them.
"No, but he did come this way, I can tell that much," said another. Eule rolled his eyes and grabbed the kitten off his lap, he was about to put it back but he saw there was nothing in the cage, so he sat back down and grabbed one of the pillows he had found and placers it in, he grabbed a piece of meat from his bag and Pluto it in a small bowl, then he put the kitten in.
He walked to the exit of the room only to find a girl staring right at him, "found him!" She all but screamed. Eule slammed the door shut and ran for the hole in the roof, swiftly climbing up the wall to the second floor, he began leaping from roof to roof not wanting to come face to face with his pursuers. After running for a bit he saw the brute standing at the exit, while he was slow Eule would not be able to get passed him with such a small gap, especially with the cat in his grip. The town they were in was walled, and he wouldn't be able to climb a wall of this size even without the cat. He began running away from the brute, toward the other end of the town where he knew there was a large crack in the wall, far to high for them to climb too, so it was his perfect escape.
