Dear diary,
Today mom and dad left me alone with Aunt Grace. Mom and dad said they are bringing me a surprise home later. Aunt Grace plays with me, we play my favorite game, Hide And Seek.
-9:00p.m.-
Mom and dad came home with a basket covered with a red and white blanket. I wonder what is inside. Aunt Grace smiles and tells me to take off the blanket.
-9:10p.m.-
Mom and dad got me a kitty! Black as the darkest night. It's fur is soft as a dandelion. It's Mr Midnight!
I can't wait to play with him tomorrow.

-9:40p.m.-
Mom and dad tuck me into bed, Aunt Grace is leaving. I want her to stay but she says she has to go back home. Hopefully mom will make her come back here tomorrow. Mom and dad kiss my forehead before leaving the room. Mr Midnight licks my hand and lies on my chest, I stroke his black soft fur gently. I can hear him purr, he relaxes me. I want to play with Mr Midnight and Aunt Grace tomorrow. =)
