My favorite chapter so far ^^

It was lunch time but I already felt like crap. My legs were hurting from the 'jog', more of a race that I participated very early in the morning. And now I didn't know how I managed to get my ass to the dining room to eat lunch. I got beaten up so hard. My hands were sore, my legs even sorer. I got a bruise on my face that would turn purple tomorrow and all I got from Victor was 'Next time you'll know to protect your face, let that be a reminder'. It was a reminder and it will continue to be for at least a week.

Not that I didn't like the training sessions with Victor. I was learning how to protect myself and if needed to kick someone's ass. But I was far off kicking someone's ass. I was still new to the moves and my reactions were slow. I didn't have what it took to just charge and hit. I was more of a dodgy and then run for your like kind of person. But I was trying my best, doing everything Victor said and absorb every tip and move he showed me. He said that I was too scared to hit someone and he was right. I was scared. But he always reassured me that I would learn and the fear won't be a problem.

Victor was shocked when I told him I wanted to learn how to throw knives and stars, but quickly came back from his shock and with a laugh, he agreed to teach me once he was sure I was ready. I didn't know what came over me. But it was so cool to be able to do that. So points for that!

"Wow what happened to your face?" asked Emilia who was just placing her food on the table and sitting down.

"I got my ass kicked" I complained. Her soft hand brushed the blue spot on my check very carefully as if not to cause me pain.

"Yeah, Victor was tough on me too. But for a reason" She said and started eating.

The rest of the gang showed up soon after. Chris laughed at my misery as always. But then he felt bad for me and started with his affections, telling me that he was going to beat up Vic. But I was sure that Chris was going to be the one who gets his ass handed to him not the other way around. Even when he too got a few lessons from Victor.
Martin, on the other hand, was so nice to tell me that I looked awful and he didn't like that 'natural makeup' that I got. But he got in return a deserving slap on the shoulder from Susan. Who immediately tried to make me feel better by telling me that there was a lotion I can use so it could heal quickly. Overall Victor was very smug about the bruise and kept giving me his life lessons.

After lunch, I patiently waited for Emilia to get ready. I was sitting in one of the common rooms. This one looked like it was out from an elderly couple's house. It had a fireplace and the wallpaper was looking old with flowery ornaments. The furniture looked vintage too, the only missing thing was the pictures of the family members. But I liked it. It was very calmly and homie and was one of fewer rooms that overlooked the front of the House with the driveway and not the garden at the back. Soon after Emilia came with Susan and another girl after her.

"Val this is Rechel, Reich this is Valeria" introduced us Emilia with a huge smile on her face. She looked excited. I shook the hand of the girl with dark brown hair. She smiled more of a courtesy than eagerness. I got the feeling she didn't like me very much, but I wasn't sure what I did.

Four of us made it to the car and went to the city. Emilia was the one driving and in the beginning, I was very skeptical of her beeing behind the wheel. But for my surprise, she was a very good driver. Susan stayed quite, as usual, looking through the window. Rachel was the one that didn't stop talking with Emilia, I tried my best to join their conversation but the subject was quickly changed by Rachel. I gave up talking to them by the time we arrived at the mall.

The shopping spree we made was exhausting. One does not simply go into a store and leave empty handed when you have Emilia by your side. I was kind of thankful for her not letting me buy, as she said 'boyish clothes' and pushed me to get more skirts, dresses, and shirts that in the past I might had thought twice before buying them. But I felt good now. I felt like a new person with a new wardrobe that includes shoes with heels. I didn't know how they got me into buying this kind of item but I didn't complain. It was time for a change and this was a new beginning for me.
