Hello Wattpadders! I just wanted to clear some things up. I finished the first chapter but on some devices it did not update, so you have to go on a computer. I also changed Ethan's name to Stephen and this is going to be Mark's P.O.V. I'm sorry that this story is going fast but I need it to go fast in order for the real plot to take place.  This chapter is really sad and I also wanted to say that I will explain it more in another chapter. Anyways, thanks for being so supportive and please continue doing so!!! Thanks!!!!

P.S. There's Mark on the side!!!!!! Logan Lerman is so heartmelting!!!!!

Love Doesn't Exist Here

3 Months Later

Mark's P.O.V.

"Stephen are you sure about this?" I asked.

"I'm sure," he answered. "I'm ready to tell her that I love her. That I'm willing to give up on my playerish ways. That she will be my only girl. Whenever she is hurt I will come to her aid, whenever she is sad I will cheer her up, and whenever she is troubled I will help her get through it."

"Who knew you could be so diplomatic and romantic?" I asked teasingly.

"Shut up. I dated her for 3 months and that's a big deal. I think it's time."

"Are you absolutely sure? I mean seriously. Giving up your playerish ways?"

"Yes. I'm going to her place right now to pick her up on our date."

"Okay. Tell me how it goes."

After Stephen left, I went to my bedroom and got onto my canopy to read my favorite book series, The Hunger Games. Yes, even though I'm super rich an a player, I am a nerd sometimes. I thought  about Stephen and Lennox. Somehow they didn't seem right together. Something is lacking in that girl whenever they are together. I thought back to the time when I first met her.

*Flashback* (3 months ago at Stephen's mansion)

I went to the bathroom after I said hi to Stephen. He told me that we were going to have 3 guests today which was pretty usual. He then told me that 2 of them were the new girls whom I haven't met yet, and the other one was Lauren this slag at our school. As I got out, a skinny frame with soft,  luscious brown hair crashed into me but I caught her in time. I told her,

"Watch where you're going babe."

She looked up and I saw these bright hazel eyes staring at me. She wore this cute green outfit which brought out her eyes. After I checked her out, I found her being captivated by my eyes so I said while smirking,

"What brings a pretty girl like you here?"

"Oh sorry," she answered in this light angel voice. "I was just trying to find the basement. My name is Lennox. Lennox Heart."

"Cool. You must be the principal's niece. My name is Mark Stone."

After I told her my name she smirked but was emotionless. I then asked her,

"Do you need help finding the basement?"

"Sure," she answered. "Thanks by the way."

"You're welcome."

It had been a quiet walk but as we got closer I could hear Stephen and the other new girl screaming at the TV while playing Call of Duty. As we got in, I saw that Stephen lost to the new girl who I found out later her name was Melanie and that girl Lauren I do if I'm bored saw me, blushed, and waved. Melanie had wavy brown hair and blue eyes like Stephen. She looked innocent but with that attitude of her's you couldn't  believe it. As the day went on we finally came to a goodbye. By the door I could hear Stephen say to Lennox,

"Would you go on a date with me?"

"Sure," she said back happily but when I looked into her eyes I could see this one emotion I couldn't figure out. I knew Stephen well enough that I could tell he just wanted to bang her up but I could also tell that he liked her a lot too. But that girl didn't share the exact same feelings. What an you say? I'm a good observer. I said good bye to them and Stephen hugged them.

"Come back again," he said.

After they left, I confronted Stephen but he said he didn't know yet. By nighttime when I got home, I picked up the remaining picture of Madeleine and me.

*End of Flashback*

I put my book down and picked up that picture. It was Madeleine and me. I remember glimpses of the times that we had picnics by the lake, our first kiss, the times we snuck out in the middle of the night, the numerous times we made out, my first time, the times when I wasn't a conceited cold-hearted player. I really loved her and I wouldn't give her up for anything. But all of that was fake. Our whole relationship was fake because of her, but I managed. I was able to get over her but not fully. But the consequence is who I am today. I'm a player. A self-conceited, notorious, cold-hearted player who throws girl after girl around after they were used. Stephen always told me I was going to heal if I found the right girl. But I don't believe in true love. It doesn't exist in my life. She took my love then threw it away. I was and never going to be the same. (The song Dear John by Taylor Swift seemed right for this chapter but you have to reverse it and put Mark singing this to Madeleine)

At school the next day, I caught up to Stephen to ask him what happened. As I got closer, I saw that his eyes were bloodshot red, and his face was red. I ran to him and demanded,

"What happened?!?!?!"

He broke into tears again like girl. Lennox, If you did anything to my friend, you're gonna get it! I thought to myself. I waited for him to calm down and then he answered.

"She said she didn't love me."

"So, what if she doesn't love you. Move on already. You're ranking number 2 player in our school."

"You don't get it. I lo-," he broke into a sob again. "I loved her."

"I understand. Really I do. Remember Madeleine?"

"Oh yeah, sorry man."

"It's fine. But what did she say really?"

"Well, we went to the hilltop near the campus and we watched the sunset. I then told Lennox that I loved her. She had this emotion I couldn't figure out and just said she didn't love me, harshly though. She said I was just a game to her. She told me I wasn't worth of her and she said that this would teach me to never play girls again or even try to. She hurt me deeply," Stephen said, breaking into large sobs again.

"Well that's the exact same thing Madeleine told me," I said sadly. "But what did she mean when she said that you would never play girls again or even try to?"

"I understand. It means that I now know how girls feel when I toss them aside when I'm done with them."

"Well you can stop your playerish ways but I will continue mine. But as favor for you I will play her for you."

"You don't have to."

"But I will. She broke your heart and I will not let her run away from this like Madeleine did."

"Fine, just remembershe just got out of a relationship so she won't be so reliant."

"I will. I know that she will fall for my charms," i said accidentally too harshly. "And anyways, I know that love doesn't exist in my life anymore so it will be an easy task."

"Okay. Sheez.!"

"Sorry, I wasn't thinking straight."

"It's fine. We have to get to class now," said Stephen while wiping his eyes.

"Okay, let's go."

Lennox, You're in for a wild ride, I thought.
