Chapter 50

Zoe's POV
*THE NEXT MORNING*
I slowly open my eyes to see the still sleeping face of Sapphire and I smile as I get up to get dressed and do everything I need to do when I hear a big yawn come from my phone so I walk back into the room still in a big shirt and sit down to see Sapphire's big bright crystal blue eyes look at me as she smiles.

Hi princess I say as she sits up and stretches revealing a small patch of tan skin, Hey she says through a yawn and I have an idea since it's a half-day at school today so I tell Saph that I'm going to go and I'll see her at school and after we can go to the mall or something after.

Okay, she says with a smile and I hang up.

I get dressed in a pair of tight black jeans and a white button-up with a black sweater with the white-collar poking over and brown wedge boots. I finally grab my keys and I walk out to the car I happily listen to music on the way to school.

I get out and I head in to see Sapphire walking in about the same time so I take a minute to examine what she's wearing, a nice pair of skin-tight black blue jean shorts adorns her lower half and a nice blue crop top type shirt that only shows her belly when she stretches adorns her top half with a pair of black high top vans.

I smile and I continue to walk to my room and I sit doing my usual things.

*TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE DAY*

I'm walking out the back way to go home with the Sapphire senpai club members behind me for whatever reason when all of a sudden a bunch of football players runs towards me and they make a circle around me.

Um, guys what are you doing?

Justin says he's coming to get you because he believes that he owns you and that you are his "prize" I hear Lucas say but I don't get much time to dote on it because next thing I know the star quarterback Justin is running to me with this shit-eating smirk on his face and for once in my life I truly get scared but comfort returns when I see the boys tighten the circle and switch around a bit so there is what looks like a line of defense, I grip on to the charm necklace and say a silent prayer that none of these guys get hurt because they were protecting me.

'YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME SAPPHIRE' I hear Justin scream down the hallway as he runs to me, he finally gets to the circle a couple of minutes later and he takes Seth an old friend of mine but when he gets to Lucas and Wyatt they give this silent nod to each other and they work together to bring him down and I'm picked up by Lucas and thrown over his shoulder as Wyatt finishes Justin off, he carries me the rest of the way and then sits me down when we get to the back door, but of course, he runs off again before I can thank him properly.

I shake away my current thoughts when I see a black and white flyer flopping in the wind on the bulletin board, I walk to it and I see it's a flyer for a masquerade ball on Halloween.

"Dress in your finest ball gown and come on over on Halloween night and if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend we have a game where you try to find your significant other without demasking them"

In parentheses I see it says that they don't discriminate so Homophobia won't be tolerated and it'll be a safe environment for couples and single people, I take the flyer with me and I make plans in my head to buy the dress with the money I've been saving up to help with that Destin Florida trip. I don't think it'd hurt if I dipped into my saving I mean I've been saving for years so I have a lot and my parents don't even know I've been saving up so like I said it doesn't matter.

I run outside to my mom's car and after about thirty minutes later we arrive home and I automatically get to work as I flop on my bed and I go onto amazon and I scroll through what feels like a hundred dresses until I find the perfect one which is a big puffy blue dress that has sleeves that lay against the sides of my shoulders and are covered in beautiful blue flowers.

I check the reviews to make sure there are no bad reviews and since there aren't any I go ahead and I buy it and I put it on amazon prime so it will get here tomorrow.

I make sure that the transaction went through and after I see it did I head on over to the bed and fall into a deep sleep.

Zoe's POV

I'm walking out of my classroom to head home at around 8:00 and Into the now dimly lit hallway when I see a flyer flapping in the wind so I pick it up and I see it says
"Dress in your finest ball gown and come on over on Halloween night and if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend we have a game where you try to find your significant other without demasking them"

In parentheses I see it says that they don't discriminate so Homophobia won't be tolerated and it'll be a safe environment for couples and single people, I take the flyer with me and I make plans in my head to buy a suit since dresses aren't my thing.

I continue the journey to my car and when I finally get home I tape the flyer to my fridge and I go to bed having a feeling that Sapphire already knows about the ball.

*NEXT MORNING*
Sapphire's POV

I walk up the next day way too early IT'S SATURDAY I SHOULDN'T BE UP THIS EARLY my brain screams at me but on the outside, I trudge onto the door to see who rang the doorbell and when I open it there's no one there but a giant box sits at my feet and I take a huge gust of breath and I pick it up and quietly as I can I run to my room and I throw open the box and I pull out the beautiful gown and in those next few moments when I carefully try on the dress I truly feel like a princess but I figure it's time to put it up so I carefully set the dress back in its box and I shove it under my bed and I crawl back into my bed, I scroll through Instagram for a bit before falling back asleep.
