The man, if she could call him that was tall his face shadowed by the light breaking through the forest canopy not to mention the man also sounded quite angry and once again repeated a question that she had missed the first time when taking in her surroundings.
"I don't speak your language," Azriel replied, confused and not understanding what had happened to transport her to this strange place.
The man repeated his question this time in English that Azriel could understand however she was not listening as the sound of her heart beating was pounding in her ears. Where was she?! The breath catching faster and faster in her throat the panic swelling up and up. Azriel's chest constricting and pulling tighter, breath coming in pants now the stranger moved and continued to speak, but she was to far gone in her distress. The panic continued to bubble swelling and compressing black spots dancing in her vision Azriel fell in to darkness.
    ***
It was dark. Azriel awoke with a shock, feeling her surroundings. She was on a bed the soft smooth sheets crinkling under her fingers,     Azriel blinked once more her eyes adjusted to the lack of light. Her eyes where always excellent at seeing in the dark in fact she had even been teased as a child for having her strange night vision. The room came into view, the walls where wooden with a little stone with intricate wooden carvings and delicate arches for door ways the bed frame was also carved of wood the posts almost appearing to be carved in the likeness of trees making it seem as if the bed itself had grown out of the ground.
In all it was a beautiful room the most beautiful that Azriel had ever seen in her life not that she got out much however the carving in the room alone was a work of art that would cost a fortune and Azriel had never had such rich and smooth sheets in her life.
Although it mattered not Azriel scolded herself she must find answers where she was and how she had arrived to this place. Climbing out of bed Azriel started to explore her room, careful to be silent and turn on no lights least someone notice she had awoken. The first carved archway lead to a wardrobe of sorts that was barren, finding nothing of interest in the empty room, even after checking the walls for any secret passageways. Azriel continued her search quietly moving on to the next archway. This room was more interesting if only Azriel needed a bathroom, it was strange not like a modern bath with a porcelain throne, instead the bath was inset in the floor more akin to a pool and the toilet she assumed was behind the divider at the far end of the room. Careful of the small bottles and jars around the edges of the bathing pool Azriel continued to creep around looking for a secret door or perhaps even a weapon not knowing how her host would react but wanting to be protected from the worst case scenario. She found nothing placing her hands on her hips Azriel glared into the mirror only to quickly wipe away the residual makeup caked at the corners of her eyes. Now that she didn't look like a zombie or the bride of Frankenstein she glanced around the room once more not finding anything noteworthy the aid in any escape. Looking at the mirror one last time Azriel considered breaking the glass to have a shard for protection but quickly dismissed the idea. The sound would draw too much attention, and she required stealth and refused to sacrifice the advantage of surprise for a meager weapon.
Straightening her back and raising her chin Azriel moved out of the bathroom gliding across the stone floor back into the main room. Only one archway left this had to be the exit, gathering her courage she silently opened the door.
Relief flooded her veins an exit from the room yes! Azriel silently celebrated her triumph then gathering herself once more Azriel  slid into the hallway now which direction. Listening quietly Azriel heard a small noice from the left it was decided the right she would go. Creeping to the end of the hall careful not to make any noise only pausing every now and again to listen for any sounds that whispered on the night air Azriel made it to the end of the corridor.
Silently she crept around the corner glancing back up the hall she had just transversed as she did so. Clear she though smiling as she turned to face the new hall.
As she turned Azriel moved forward freezing as she bumped into a wall that wasn't there before a scream dying in her throat as eyes looked down at her.
