Jimin loved Jungkook.

Taehyung loved Jimin.

And Jungkook? He was oblivious to it all.

But if you leave Jungkook out of it, Jimin and Taehyung's hearts were entertwined. They were the best of friends.

They were practically soulmates.

Yet, cupid plays matchmaker in the most problematic way.

Because although they are an absolutely perfect match for each other, Jimin can't help but feel love for someone else.

Despite this love, Jimin himself is aware that Taehyung deserves his affections.

"I'll hear you out like usual," Taehyung said.

It's on the weekend nights where Jimin vents to Tae, endlessly complaining about his unreciprocated love for his youngest member, Jungkook.

"Today, he had barely talked to me, it felt like I was being ignored. Of course I don't think he actually meant it, yet it still hurts." Jimin confessed. He was afraid to be selfish. That was Park Jimin, the selfless and concerned hyung.

"He may have done it since he's done it so many times Jimin, I don't think Jungkook would mean to hurt you." Taehyung said, offering comfort to the older.

"I know he wouldn't. I just hate feeling selfish for making it all about my feelings, I don't even know how Jungkook feels. These feelings are so one-sided, because I overthink every action he takes. There's no way he's ever taken my compliments truthfully. I wouldn't take it seriously if I were him."

Jimin wasn't one to cry, but he was one whose heart would hurt, and his throat would suddenly feel clogged up.

Taehyung knew Jimin through and through, and he had also felt the same feelings Jimin felt. "It's hard to try and comprehend his feelings Jimin, but don't beat yourself up over it. When you love someone, you tend to overthink every action they take. For example, are they flirting with you? Did they just return your hug as a sign of returning your feelings?"

The side of Jimins mouth curved upwards, Taehyung knew what Jimin loved to hear. The things that Taehyung would say gave him false hope, but it was enough to make Jimin pursue after Kook more.

What if one day, he'll actually get him?

If he gives up now, maybe he'll miss his chance.

Their discussions occurred at usually 2 am while everyone was asleep. They prolonged these talks for more than an hour, sometimes three hours when Jimin had lots to say. It was no problem with Tae however, because Taehyung would always ask if Jimin needed to vent about his week.

And Taehyung loved the sweet sound of Jimin's voice.

"Anything else?" Tae said.

"I-I just..." Jimin stuttered. Taehyung looked at him worriedly.

"It would've been easier if I had just fallen in love with you Tae." Jimin said, and that was enough for Taehyung's cheeks to turn into a light shade of red.

Jimin giggled cutely, causing Tae to giggle as well.

"See? Right now I'm overthinking about whether you're flirting with me or not." Tae inhaled deeply, "I wish you would've fallen in love with me, Jimin."

Then Jimin felt sorry.

They really would be perfect for each other.

As they continued to talk about more minimal things, Jungkook couldn't help but notice the light coming from beneath his two hyungs door. He had been staying up playing Overwatch, and now he was taking his bathroom break. At first, he didn't care much, and proceeded towards the bathroom.

"I'm sorry Tae."

He then heard the sound of Jimin's voice; suddenly, he was interested.

"You know-"

V-hyung's voice. Jungkook thought.

"Although I love you, Jimin, I admire how much you love him."

Jungkook's eye widened and pressed his ear to the door more. Love him? Who? Jimin-hyung loved someone? Tae loved Jimin?

"Once you start, it's hard to give up that easily." Jimin laughed, "But I can't even count the amount of times I've wanted to let these feelings go. It's slowly eating me up."

"Maybe, you should try harder." Tae suggested.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Jungkook's eye narrowed, he was confused about everything. Who were they talking about? Why didn't Jimin tell him he loved someone?

"Give up on Jungkook, Jimin, and try to fall in love with me."

It's pretty cliche, yeah.
