The next day was Wednesday, and I woke up with great energy, because it was my first day of work here. I wasn't nervous because Emily seemed to be a really nice kid. Her intelligence was something which shocked me the most. I rolled myself and faced the ceiling, smiling a bit and squinting my eye's a little. The bed was comfy, so fluffy that I didn't want to leave it. My eye's widened as soon as I checked the time. I was late, shit! It was 10a.m. and it's time for Emily's breakfast.
Quickly I rushed towards the bathroom and did all my regular thing's, trust me I've never brushed and showered so fast ever in my life. Quickly finishing all the business there, I ran back to my room, almost tripping on my feet and got dressed. I didn't had the time to dry my hair, so I just let it air dry and rushed towards the kitchen, almost forgetting the way there. This house was huge.
I walked towards the kitchen and I can hear the the sound's of plate's and utensils, I stood at the doorway and took a deep breath. It was my first day and I'm already late. As soon as I stepped in the kitchen Mary looked at me, smiling. Heat rushed on my cheek's as I can feel my face turning red due to embarrassment. I lowered my gaze and walked towards the counter, sheepishly.
"Good morning Elsie. Please have a seat" Ms Mary greeted me warmly as she placed some plates.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be late. I..I don't usually get up late.. I.. I'm so sorry, I promise this wouldn't happen again" I spilled out my mind. I was afraid and worried. I hope she doesn't thinks otherwise of me that I'm lazy, that would be a history repeat for me.
"Oh dear! It's okay. You were tired after all and you didn't even rest after your flight. Chris told me that you took care of Emily yesterday. Don't worry. Now have a seat before I totally punish you!" She said the last part so seriously that I almost believed it. As soon as she saw my expression she bust out laughing.
"What's so funny Mary?" A dark voice asked, behind me making a shiver ran down my whole body. I didn't know why my body reacted that way. I didn't turn around as I heard footsteps nearing me. Soon the man stood beside Mary greeting her with a kiss on her forehead. And trust me at that moment I regretted my decision comming here. He was the same guy I saw back at New York apartment. He was the same guy who was with Mr Black, I knew this would happen at some point time but I internally wished that this wouldn't happen.
"Oh! Xavier, it's Emily's new nanny. I just joked about punishing her and her face was priceless to look at" She said looking at me and continued assembling thing's, and I knew that this man who's name is Xavier hadn't notice me till now but now his eye's found me, those eye's as soon as it stopped on me it got dark. He clenched his jaw, and furrowed his eyebrows. He was wearing a suit black to be exact. The white shirt he wore clinged to his chest as if it was the best body it had ever been on, the black coat he was wearing on it was also clinging to him, his biceps wanted to come out of the clothing. The suit was neither tight to the point where it felt suffocating nor that loose where it looked like a sack, it was just perfect. The collar buttons were open and hell tattoo's were peaking out, I made out the big lotus tattoo that covered his whole neck, the tattoo's crawled up to the side of his head. I looked more up to his face, that chesiled jaw pressed firm, that lip's which were pressed in a firm line, his nose neither to sharp nor blunt a perfect nose, his eye's perfect colour of blue-
"Are you fucking done staring at me?" His voice snapped suddenly making me realise what was I doing. Blood rushed on my cheek's making me feel more embarrassed. What's wrong with me? I shouldn't have done that. I quickly lowered my gaze and breathed. He was too hot for my liking.
"Mary what is this? Is she even legal for being a nanny?" He asked sharply, at his word's my head snapped towards him and my eye's widened at his word's. He was looking at me. His eye's traveled from my head to toe and a disgusting expression plastered on his face.
"Xav!" Mary asked shocked as she heard those word's from his mouth. Hell! Even I was shocked.
"No. Stop it. I couldn't risk the life of my sister. This girl is getting out of my house right now!" He said seriously, cutting her off totally. What's his problem I didn't do anything to him?!
Well, whenever you saw him, you looked at him like a piece of meat, though!
What?! Just because I looked at him?! That's stupid because it's his fault his so hot!!
"Xavier Satnos, this girl over here" she spoke up sternly and pointed a finger towards me, "will be staying and she is the girl who's going to take care of Emily. It's my decision and it's final. I trust her." She said standing up to him, glaring the same dragger's. Something crossed in Xavier's eye's as I couldn't pin point, but his eye's were firing bullets and at that moment I felt that seriously I would've been dead by now. I gulped, this was not right.
He slowly started making his way towards me, my heart was pounding in my chest, my hand's got clammy as I quickly fisted them. His eye's was set on me, taunting me and haunting me at the same time. He stood in front of me, and bend his face at my face level, too close to my liking, his smell surrounding me like dark clouds, beautiful yet intoxicating, his eye's were were set on my eye's, looking into the depths of my soul. I was shaking and I can feel that, my legs wanted to give out, it was a long time that I felt this intimidating.
"Listen here, and listen very carefully. If you're staying in my fucking house, you better behave and dare if anything happens to my sister. And fucking stay out of my business. Clear?" He said to me in a low husky voice that send down shivers in my spine but not the good one, this was pure horror. A lump formed in my throat as I looked at him. His eye's were so blue and so cold out of emotions and his face was serious.
"I asked, is it fucking clear?" He asked seething through his clenched teeths, his eye's narrowed waiting for my confirmation. I swallowed the lump in my throat quickly
"Y..yes..umm.. I'll stay out of your si..sight" I said quickly and looked at him in total fear. He doesn't even knows me and he's already dismissive. His eye's raked down my body again, snarling and a disgust expression making it's way on his face, making me uncomfortable.
"Just what I fucking needed!" He muttered under his breath and thrusted his hands inside his pant pockets and turned to his heels walking away, without muttering a single word.
I was definitely going to stay out of his sight. Jesus! I wish I had the invisible cloak, just as Harry Potter had! He was rude and dangerous, I felt it.
Mary quickly came by my side and put a hand on my shoulder, bringing be back from my horrific terrance. I looked at her and she looked horrific at Xavier's behaviour.
"I'm.. I'm so sorry Elsie.. You'll get used to him" She said to me, as guilt was showing on her face. I let out a breath that was somewhat trapped inside my lung's, and tried to calm my heart which was beating at an uncontrollable speed.
I nodded my head towards her words, even though I'm not sure about it. The only question that was now stuck in my mind and was playing like a broken record was:
How am I going to survive living in this house?
