I'm not extraordinary. I'm quiet and reserved; socializing isn't my thing. I spent most of my days in my room either on my laptop or singing alone in my room.

Last summer, my mom forced me to get out of the house and do stuff with my friends, literally. Although, had she not, I would not be telling this story right now.

She told me to get the mail but she locked me out of the house, then texted me telling me to go do something. Mother of the year, everybody. As weird as the situation was though, this didn't surprise me.

Ever since I was little my mom had used these slightly harsh tactics to get me to do stuff, but nevertheless, it worked.

I sighed ran a hand through my chocolate hair before pulling out my phone and calling one of my best friends, Triona.

"What up loser" she answered, causing a smile to form on my face at her twisted greeting.

"Pass the weed!" I heard someone say. Without hesitation I knew exactly who it was. "Shut up Ayleen!" Triona shot back.

Let me warn you now; if you're expecting some group of polite and regal ladies, well, let's just say you're in for some disappointment.

"Sorry about that. Yeah we were just heading to Denny's if you wanted to come. It's just Ayleen, Minnie, and me."

These 3 and I had met in the 3rd grade, and since then, we were inseparable. We were very, exclusive, meaning we didn't have any other friends.

We were all seated at the table eating our food talking about the most random things. We had gone from the topics of penises,to cereal, then onto books and now arriving at our current conversation, us.

"We should have our own reality show. Or movie. Or some shit like that." Triona rambled on.

"Oh yeah, let's start a band." Ayleen said, her voice trickling with sarcasm.

I laughed and rolled my eyes at her remark. I continued to poke at my food and felt Minnie shift in her spot next to me.

"What if we did?" Minnie pointed out. Triona's head shot up and we all stared at Minnie with unsure looks.

"Guys, look. Ayleen is sick on the guitar, Triona plays the bass, Scarlet sings, and I play drums. Seriously guys, this could work!"

I gnawed on the inside of my cheek as I communicated with Triona and Ayleen through facial expressions.

After a about a minute, they both gave me a shrug and a nod as to say, "Why not?"

Now friends, let our story begin.
