I drove my used little yellow car through my new neighborhood. The sun had started to climb down behind the horizon and by dying the sky to shades of orange and yellow it tried to still give desperate sings that the day wasn't over yet. The road wasn't too bumpy and the breeze was shaking the trees just right. Hell I smiled and imagined I was in a movie scene. My story almost fit to a romantic movie! Leaving my old life behind, to the city. New house, new people and lots of changes to make good friends! I still hadn't left my old friends behind, at least not all of them, but many. I didn't have the best friends back then and many of them didn't do something back to me in exchange for me doing some tasks for them.
Kind of pastel yellow and woody houses, with brown tile roof seemed to be favorite theme around this neighborhood, but I saw some different colored houses on my way. I parked my car in front of my new house and stopped to look at my house. It was blue wooded with white linings and black tile roof. The doors were red and at first glance they looked awful, but giving some time I thought they looked quite nice. I didn't have any nice color in my mind that I could've painted the door, but that was fine for now.
I sighed proudly and stepped out from the car taking my keys with me. First I took down the wooden sign that said "For SALE!". Obviously now that I was starting a new life I first needed a cheap house. I wouldn't have enough money to even pay this! Well...of course I had enough money, but I always worried that I couldn't pay the rent and everything that came with the house.
I started unpacking the pile of things, stuff and cases on my car. It had been a dangerous path here, but I needed something to start the first week with, my other furniture from my last home would come next week. I carried all the boxes one by one in the chill spring evening inside my new house and some pick 'n' mix stuff too. When I was ready I took a good look into my car to make sure I hadn't left anything behind and went to sit on fence that was lining the porch. There was quite peculiar house standing at the other side of the road. It looked relatively normal, but still very suspicious.
The first thing that caught my eye was the huge rail slithering its way around the house and the next thing was this kind of yellow round but angular shaped tower that had huge windows revealing dark rooms inside the house. Next to the house there was mint green colored wall with what seemed like dark green doors and again with huge windows revealing darkness. Right top of it in the second floor there was another mint green walls and then on top of it I just saw a glimpse of red, but nothing else. On top of the red glimpse was still huge rooms, the other one just plane wood and the one room on top of it blue wooden walls. What was this God awful abomination in front of my house?! There seemed to be red car parked in front of the house, so seemed like someone was in the house, but no lights were on. No lamp, no flashlight, no reading light, no television light, nothing. I sighed, now in disappointment that this was my faith and went inside my house. I was excited that this wasn't just any regular house, but something different.
I placed all the furniture to it's place and finally dragged myself under the sheets, of course first eating, brushing my teeth and undressing and then going under my blanket to drift my way to sleep.
This odd house still was left bouncing in my mind and it made me lose sleep a little. What could've possibly be in that house? What kind of neighbor owned that kind of house? I would someday go check it out. I needed to see who or what was inside it.
