Peridot sat inside of the barn, looking at the golden string that was tied onto her pinky.

She had tried to get it off, resulting in the string tightening slightly.

Today she felt as if she should follow it, see who it leads to, so she did.

She followed the golden string to the other end, wondering about them.

'How do they look? Are they human?'

That small thought made her cringe inwardly. She didn't particularly like humans, but she didn't hate them as much as Jasper.

She stopped just before bumping into a young woman, around 19 or 20. The string was wrapped around her finger as well.

She had long/short, (h/c) hair, glasses covering her sparkling (e/c) eyes. Her outfit consisted of a blue flannel, opened to show off a slightly to small white top with a black moustache on it. She also wore a pair of black shorts and black combat boots.

"I'm sorry." She said, blinking a few times, taking a good look at the small, green gem.

"Watch where you're going, Clod!" She snapped back and looked at the string.

Her face somehow frowned harder.

"YOU'RE MY 'SOULMATE'?!" She shrieked, causing people to look at her.

She shushed Peridot by covering her mouth.

"S-sorry."

The people looked away and kept walking.

She grabbed the gem and dragged her to an alley.

"I never expected an alien to be my soulmate..." (Y/N) mumbled and swept her eyes over a squirming Peridot.

She then cupped the gems cheeks softly and brushed her lips over Peridot's.

The gem turned bright green as her lips molded to the girls perfectly.

"I'm (Y/N)." The woman stated, smiling softly.

"Peridot."

A year later, the two were in a happy relationship.

"Hey (Y/N)?"

"Yes Peri?"

"Do you want to adopt a child soon?" This made (Y/N) choke on her drink.
