I still remember that horrid day; it was as fresh as yesterday. I see it every single time I close my eyes, I remember it every time I’m alone, I feel like it will happen again when I’m at home, it’s the reason why I love shopping, it’s like remembering them. The two people who left the deepest foot print in my life. The two people who always reminded me what’s wrong from not, the only reason I’m alive right now. It’s not only because of Top but it was also because of my brother and Ellie. Some people doesn’t know I have one but in fact, I do, and it hurts me whenever I remember him

-Flashback-

“Come on, Ellie!” I said impatiently at my aunt, bored to death with her picking plastics to put under her bed.

“Just calm your horses Tiffany, which do you think is better, the bigger one or a smaller one?”

“I thi—“

“I think the bigger one is better” She answered, cutting me off before I even got to say my answer, or my thoughts. “Come on Tiffany; let’s go to the check out.” We walked out of the plastics department and headed straight to the check out, well, if that’s what you call pulling her every time her eyes wander around, or try to go near a different item. I swear she just can’t set her priorities straight sometimes. I dropped the huge plastic box on the cashier table and gave the cashier the best fake smile that I could muster.

“Kids today, really” She sighed, rolling her eyes

“Oh, miss, don’t forget you old one’s were the ones who raised us kids” I said which made her gasp. “Call your manager.” I commanded

“Hey, Tiffany, Leave it” Ellie whispered

“No aunt, she disrespected a costumer and I won’t take that.” I said sternly. The cashier looked at me helplessly before getting the telephone

“Sir… Cashier Number 11, sir… A customer is here to talk to you, Sir… No Sir… Yes… Yes… Thank you, good bye” A few minutes later the manager arrived

“Miss Tiffany?”

“Yep…” I nodded

“What seems to be the problem here?”

“Well, you see, one of my dad’s employees here disrespected me saying the kids tod—“

“I said no such thing!” The cashier cut me off which made her earn a death glare from the manager

“Miss, you shut up or I’ll make you” I said raising my head up

“Why you little—“

“Anyways, manager, you’ll fix her or I’ll personally call my dad and fire the both of you. Understood?”

“Yes, young miss.”

“Good.” I said smiling in victory “Now, how much is that plastic?”

“That’ll be 25 dollars” The cashier said embarrassed. I handed her the money then my aunt and I made our way to the grocery store

“Ninety Miles outside Chicago

Can't stop driving, I don't know why

So many questions need an answer

Two years later you're still on my mind

Whatever happens to Amelia Earhart?

Who holds the stars up in th—“ My ringtone rang

“Hello?” I answered

“Hello?”

“Hello? Bro?” I called

“Hello?” My brother said then the line went off

Big Bro <3

Where are you?

Tiffany

I’m doing grocery

Big Bro

I said where were you?

Tiffany

In our mall, by the baggage area

Big Bro

I’ll go to you. Are you with Ellie?

Tiffany

Yes

I replied but didn’t receive a text after that. Seriously, I was going frantic. Why on earth would my brother go to us here? I waited by the baggage area and soon saw my brother coming towards me. He looked seriously troubled.

“Where’s Ellie?” He said, definitely in a hurry

“In the check out area” I answered and we rushed to the check out area and soon found Ellie

“I need to talk to you… Will you take long?” My brother said

“No, I don’t think so. What’s wrong Chase?” Ellie said worrying

“Not here.” We all waited until the groceries got punched before going out of the mall. Once we were by the parking lot they escorted me to the car where our driver was waiting

“Wait for us here for a while, okay Tiffany?” Chase said before crossing the road with Ellie following; a short distance behind him. Once they finally crossed the road they started to talk, they seemed to be in a deep conversation, but soon my aunt nodded her head then they both started walking back to me

“Tiffany, we need you to get home okay? We’ll just be going somewhere for a short while, don’t tell them anything, okay?” Ellie instructed me, like the child I actually was.

“When did I ever tell them anything though?” I giggled but she just smiled sadly and Chase just kept a straight face, staring at the mall

“Come on, let’s go” Ellie instructed going in the car. It was a silent ride home, something I never expected really. Ellie always tried to make sure the conversation was alive, but today she was the one staring out the window. We soon arrived in the front gate and they dropped me off

A few hours later, I was chilling in my room, listening to some music; thinking about Luke. When a maid, sweaty and all came rushing inside the room and requested me to open the TV to watch the news. No matter how pissed I was I still opened the TV and gasped as I saw horrid pictures. Chase and Ellie.

“Two bodies, found dead by the river,” The newscaster reported “It was said that these two bodies were ambushed and killed” He continued. I continued watching but tears started blurring the image “It was also reported to us that the bodies found were of two people named Chase Moore and Ellie Bell, the son of the richest man in all of Great Britain and his aunt.” I continued listening but soon blacked out because I couldn’t take it anymore. What have I done wrong in this world?
