Back Home to Naruto!!

Ch. 19 Boys

I was walking home with the groceries. I was walking down the path there wasn't many people out today. 'Huh this is unusual. I wonder where the people are?' While I was thinking off in la la land, I tripped on a rock. "Ahh!" Suddenly I was caught. I look up and see that it is Shikamaru.
"Troublesome woman, you should really be watching where you are going." I smiled. "Thanks Shika-Kun." He blushed or did he. "Hey are you okay? You're red." I asked he straightened up. "Yeah I was just training. You need help carrying those?" He asked pointing to the groceries. "Yes that would be incredible."
He took 3 leaving me with 2. We finally made it to my house in the compound. "Hey you can come in if you want I made cookies they should be cold enough to eat now." I tell him. He nods and follows inside the house. We took off our shoes put them on the mat. "The living room is on the left. I'll put these away and then we can have cookies. By the way, do you want milk too?" He had his hands in his pockets. "Okay thanks, and I will like to have milk thanks."
He then went to the living room. I went into the kitchen and almost jumped when I saw Mia and Tai sitting at the table. "So what is Shikamaru doing here hmm?" Mia asked. "Uh he helped me with the groceries and I invited him for cookies for helping me." She nodded in approval. I hurried and put the groceries away and got a plate of cookies and two cups of milk. I went into the living room and saw Shikamaru on the patio laying down with his eyes closed. I sneaked out to the patio. "Hey pineapple." I said.
He jumped and almost hit his head on the ceiling. I giggled. I set down the cookies and milk and sat beside him. "Here you go." He took a bite and I thought I literally saw his eyes sparkle. "So are they good?" He looked at me. "Yes they are very good for a troublesome woman like you." I laughed. "Ah what a Drag." He chuckled at my impression. The sun was setting and I had such a busy day. We sat there and watched the sunset. I started to feel tired. My eyes started to close then everything went black.

Shikamaru Pov
😦 I felt something on my shoulder and looked at Meiku. She was asleep on my shoulder. I sighed. Now that I looked at her she does look cute when she is asleep. I blushed at my thoughts. I then set her down on the couch and left for my house. 'Maybe I will see her again before the chunnin exams.'

Meiku Pov
I woke up on the couch. 'Why am I on the couch?'  Then I remembered and instantly blushed. Today we have to meet up with Kakashi-sensei at the bridge. 'Might as well get going.' After getting dressed I went to the bridge on the was there I bumped into Kiba and Akamaru.
The little pup attacked me and brought me down followed by his dog lover owner. "Akamaru what did I tell you about jumping on people." Kiba helped me up. "Well at least it was a pretty one." Cue the blush.
"Well thanks Kiba and nice to see you Akamaru. I have to go to the bridge meeting up with sensei." Then I ran off. I ran into Naruto and it looks like he was with Konohamoru. "Boss is that your girlfriend?" Konohamoru asked.
I blushed when Naruto went onto a explanation. I bonked him on the head. "Sorry Konohamoru but I am not his girlfriend." I smiled. Sakura then came running over. "Boss is that your girlfriend?" Naruto did the same thing he did with me but Sakura hit him harder. "Woah boss she is ugly ." Sakura hit Konohamoru.
Sakura was finally walking away when Konohamoru messed up our lives. "Ow. What is wrong with her. She must be a monster. I mean look how big her forehead is."  Sakura turned around to us with a scary face. "Everyone Run!!" I yelled we were all running away when Konohamoru bumped into Kitty Cat. "Watch where your going punk." He then picked up Ko-Kun.
"Hey put the kid down." I said with my glare. I heard that my glares could kill but I don't know why. He flinched back. I then grabbed Ko-Kun and I was back at my spot in a flash. They all had shocked faces except for my teammates. "Why you-".
Before Kitty Cat could hit me, Duckbutt through a rock at his hand causing him to stop. Everyone looked at where he was. "Ya know you shouldn't hit girls, especially when they are on my team." Sasuke then crushed the rock he was tossing into dust. All the girls swooned over him except for me.
I just sweat dropped. I felt a presence behind me next to Sasuke. I turn and see Gaara. 'Omg it's Panda-Kun!!' "Kankoro, you're an embarrassment to the village." I didn't realize I was staring til he turned and stared back. I turned away blushing. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Sasuke and Naruto glaring at Gaara. I was confused on this but i didn't question it. Kitty Cat was going off trying to say it was our fault. "Shut up or I'll kill you." I had hearts in my eyes.
He then used his sand to get down. "C'mon let's go." Sasuke jumped down.  "Hey you. Identify yourself." They turned around. "Me?" Temari pointed to herself. "No the one with the gourd on his back." The girl then looked like she would die.
"Duh Duckbutt, they said it a million times. His name is Gaara of the sand and the Kitty Cat there is Kankoro, and their sister there is Temari. She is the only one of them I don't have a name for...hmm...how about Windy." They all seemed impressed. "I'm interested in you two." Panda-Kun looked at Duckbutt. "Sasuke Uchiha." He then looked at me. "Meiku Takashi."
His siblings seemed surprised when I said Takashi. Then of course Naruto said, "You must be dying to know my name." Panda-Kun then had a bored expression. "I could care less." With that they left.
"Well let's get to the bridge." I said as I dragged Naruto with me to the bridge with Sasuke and Sakura following behind. When we got there we were waiting several hours.

Gaara Pov
'That was weird I didn't feel like killing her was a good idea.'  I wondered to myself. I shook it off. We still have to go with the plan.
