April a 20 year old single mom is in La raising her son alone what will happen when the father comes back into her life will he make it easier or will he only add to the stress
I woke up and looked at the timer on my desk. It looked to be 10:00 . I moaned and flipped the covers from over me. My name is April Dior Smith .I am a single parent of my child June My Son My heart ,My World . I moved here a year ago to get away from everything. I'm 20 years old and I am an elementary teacher. I got out of bed and went into the restroom that was inside of my room. I lived in a luxurious 2 bed room apartment. It was decorated white which I hated because June would get his hands on anything he could. I did my hygiene and took a quick shower because I knew Junie would wake in any minute and he was cranky in the morning. I got out and lotions my body all the way down to my legs. I got dressed in a grey half sweater, black tights , my grey puma slides, and i wore my hair in a bun and some hair down .

Today was Saturday which meant I didn't have to go in for work. I went into across the hall into junie's nursery to see him sound asleep. I silently thanked god and went to go make my baby something to eat. I decided to cook bacon and eggs. Right after I finished I heard cries on my baby monitor I had in the kitchen. I went to his room to see him crying rubbing his eyes. I picked him up and his crying died down." Your just a big ass baby "I rolled my eyes playfully. "You hungry? "I asked. He nodded his head up and down. I packed him on my hip into the kitchen. I sat him in his high chair and went to fix our plate. I broke down his bacon and mixed it into the eggs. I gave him his food and ate myself. June was 1 and a half but he was very small for his age. I had him a month earlier due to stress. I watched my baby boy eat and play in his food. I finished eating and took our plates to the kitchen I washed them and let him out his seat. I took him a bath putting him on some blue true religious jeans and a black and red polo shirt. I gave him his Jordan retro 12's taxis for him to put on. He was a very smart baby. He put on his shoes and I tied them for him. I put on his black jacket and we left out of our apartment. We walked into the lobby. "Hey June "the desk clerk smiled at him. He waved. We didn't know many people but we knew a few. I put him in his car seat and buckled him up. I got in the drivers seat and pulled off. I had a grey SUV. I pulled up at the grocery store. LA's weather was breezy but kinda hot. I took off my jacket and got out getting June out of the backseat. I helped him take his jacket off and I put it in the car. "Mommy" he called. "Yes baby?" I asked holding his hand as we crossed the street." Can e get Andy?" he asked. He know how to talk well a little he knew the second part of any words. "Mommy's gonna get you candy but you can't eat it until later"I said. We walked into the grocery store and I put him in the basket. He pointed at everything saying he wanted it. I heard a woman laughing. 'That's okay they all do that" she told me. "Should have left his behind at home" I teased him making the lady smile. "He is gorgeous "she smiled at him. "What do you say junie?" I asked . "Ank ou" he thanked her. "Aww he is so adorable" she laughed. We exchanged a few more words before I went to the check out lane. I passed the food to June and he put it on the desk. "Alright high five" I said extending my hand. He reached and slapped my hand with his. "What candy do you want baby?" I asked him. He pointed at a kit cat and I grabbed it sitting it on the desk. "Cash or debit "the woman asked me. "Cash" I said. "That would be 37.35" she smiled I paid and put the bags in the trunk after I strapped junie in the car. I put the basket away and got in the drivers seat checking on him. He looked outside of the window. I started the car and went home. I pulled up in my driveway and opened the trunk. "April "I heard my name being called I turned around to see trey a friend from the neighborhood. "Oh hi trey "I smiled. "Can I help you with your bags ?"he asked. "Thank you that is so sweet of you" I smiled letting him grab some bags. I got June out the car and gave him the bread to carry. "Don't smush it" I instructed him. I grabbed the remaining of the bags and trey followed us through the lobby onto the alavatar. Luckily my apartment was on the 2nd floor. I opened the door and let them inside. We put the bags on the table and I took the bread from June. He ran to the living room watching cartoons." So I need a favor trey" rubbed his hands together he was very charming but I wasn't going to date anymore after my baby daddy. "What is it?"I laughed putting the food up." I need a date tonight to this formal party my date bailed on me" he was straight forward. "I don't think so" I smiled turning his offer down. "Please April just this one time I swear I will owe you one "he pleaded. I sighed" fine what time you picking me up" I asked. "8:30 thank you ma you the best" he said pulling me into a hug. I smiled and he let go leaving out of my apartment. I was 5'0 which was short I was brownskin I was black not mixed with anything. My hair was very long. It was longer when I was younger but I cut it and it grew back. I looked at my son. He reminded me so much of his dad he looked nothing like me only him. He even acted like his daddy sometimes. I sighed missing my baby daddy for a second. I knocked myself out of my thoughts as soon as I thought about it. I called my neighbor kiana to watch June. She of course accepted and said she would be here at 8:00.....
