Chapter One.

Ella Brooks

   Beep! Beep! Beep!

   I groan in irritation and try to shut my alarm clock up, clumsily knocking it onto the ground. "Ugh..." I didn't feel like going to school today.

  School is like Hell on earth; minus the fire blasting from everywhere and flying souls of dead people.

   "Ellie, time to get up sweetheart," Dad calls, from outside my door. "You don't wanna be late."

   "Daaad...I don't want to."

   "You have to get up, Ella."

   "No."

   "Please?"

   "No."

   "Mom is makin' bacon and eggs."

   Bacon. I shot up out of the bed, brush my teeth and fix my hair. Put on a little makeup, changed into some decent clothes and ran outta that door.

   "Where is the bacon?!" I yelled. Mom was startled at my sudden appearance, her hand over he heart. "Gosh! Good morning to you too!"

   I realized I was standing there, my eyes scanning for bacon. Then my eyes landed on Mom. "Oh. Uh. Hi Mom. Good morning," I came around the dining table and pecked her cheek. "Where's the bacon?"

   My mother chuckled and gave me a plate fixed with eggs, bacon, and some mashed potatoes. "Here." I smiled and ate my food peacefully. Finished, I waved goodbye and left the house.
