My First Love

CH 8

Amanda POV

"Hi dear" she greet me giving me a hug.

"Hi, how was your day?" I asked them as we walked in to the kitchen.

"It was fine, got something to eat I'm hungry" as Clair  ask her stomach growl, so i ask Mr's Jones to make something for them. We sat on the sofa facing each other, soon their food came and they started eating. I flip the channels but there was nothing interested so I just switch it off.

"You know Jack birthday is coming up right?" Clair ask to Ely and me, we just shook our head as a yes.

"And I'm confused what I should gift him" Clair state as she drank water and eye me, signaling me to say something. I frown.

"Clair you know I'm not good at all that kind of stuff " I respond giving an apologetic smile.

"Alright!!! What about you Ely? You have any idea" Clair asked Ely.

"Why don't you buy him his favourite things or what he wanted/needed most, I think you know what that is" said Ely grinning like she will be the buying gift for her boyfriend.

"Oh God!!!!  How could I not remember that. Thank you Ely you are the best" Clair said hugging her.

"Hey!!!  Don't leave me behind"  I said joining the group hug. After sometimes we settle down to watch movie, completing 2 full movie we went to sleep.

I woke up with some one shaking me. "Am, wake up you are getting late" Clair state annoyed.

"Give me five minutes" I replied groaning. "okay that's it, I've a better plan than last time to wake you up. And you my dear are gonna regret it" she state like she has plan on her mind.                    
Immediately my eyes shot open"I'm up" I shouted and went to bathroom. You don't to be on the bad side of  Clair. Last time she threw bucket of water on me. And don't know what she is planning this time. I took a quick shower, wore a pair of jeans and white T-shirt.

I went downstairs to see Clair and Ely having their breakfast. I was confused to see Clair in her pajamas.

Looking at my confused face "I'm not going, this morning Mom called me saying she needs my help" she said eating her breakfast. I nodded at her.

Clair said she will drop Ely and me to school so now we are in her car.

"Remember I need you two's help, so you guys are coming with me for shopping after school like it or not" she said with a look 'Don't you dare say no'.

So Ely and me said "yes ma'am" and salute her, as she drove off. Giggling Ely and me headed to our own locker.

As I went near my locker. Everyone in the hallway is either talking or shouting. I took my book out and turned around I find a pair kissing and sucking each other faces like they haven't eaten food for a few days.   

It's my crush James and the cheerleader or like everyone calls schools slut Melissa the fuck buddies.

I felt a pang of jealousy. I wish I'm the one kissing him. How can he just kiss Melissa, everyone hates her. He pulled away before he see's me I everted my gaze down and walked down the hall alone, clutching my books to my chest.

The rest of the day I keep thinking about that kiss, it really bother me and make me angry. I keep reminding myself that he is a playboy and Clair was right about it. Forget him.

After class we went for shopping. After an hour of searching Clair finally found the gift for Jack. Me and Ely too brought a gift for Jack. Mine was a book from my favourite author J K Rowling, hope he likes it.

Today is Jack's birthday and I'm invited to his party. Clair and Ely came at my place to get dressed for the party 2 and half ago and they are dressing till now. How can they dress for hours.

"Come on ladies, we are getting late" I call out getting annoyed, why do they have to put so many makeup. As for me I don't apply any makeup I'm a natural girl. I don't usually wear dress, not comfortable with it but today I'm wearing a simple black dress mid thigh. Clair force me to wear it saying I need to wear dress tonight.

"Coming" Clair shouted running down with her long heels. I don't know from where she got that.

"Wow, Slow down. You will fall and I don't want you to spend the special night on hospital" I said smirking.

"You guys look stunning" I said smiling. Clair was wearing royal blue gown which curved well with her body with her hair curl. Ely was wearing gold gown with her hair down.

"Thank you, you look gorgeous too my dear" Ely said coming to my side and hugged me.

"OK!! Girls lets go" Clair said walking to the door Ely and me followed her.

When we arrived the party was on full blast and it was packed to the brim. So many people from my school. A guy and a girl was making out on the step so when we finally made our way off the car and towards the entrance, we had no choice but to interfere with their make out session.

Ely clear her throat, the two couples broke apart. When the girl whipped her head towards us, it was Melissa.

"Look who is here? nerd" Melissa said smirking at me.

"Shut up Melissa don't you dare insult my best friend" Clair said angrily, glaring at Melissa.

"Clair come on let's go, let her be. Don't waste you time in silly things" i whisper in her ear. Pulling her towards the entrance.
"Why did you stopped me?" Clair said looking at me.

"Forget about her. She is not worth it" I respond and drag her. There were full of people, some drinking, dancing, and some making out Gross.

We spot Jack talking with his friends. We walk up to him. Clair snaked her arms around Jack waist and hug him from behind. Jack turn around and kiss her, after their make out session

"Happy birthday Jack" I wish him giving him his gift.

Jack hugged me saying "Thank you". Ely did the same. I look around searching for Jack all over the room but couldn't find him.

Then I saw him in the kitchen. He was wearing black shirt and jeans, when he got closer, his potent sexy scent reach my nostril and travelled through my brain, and I felt myself being heaved against him. When my eyes clearly had a glimpse of him I thought my heart stop beating or so i thought.

Never did I knew that this party will change my boring life.
