A/N- I just want to say really quickly that I own none of the characters or anything. This is my first fanfiction, and it probably won't be longer than three or four chapters. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you like it! :)

"Daisy, you better get your lazy bum down here and talk to your grandmother." Daisy put her book down and sighed. She needed to take out that earpiece- AJ kept surprising Daisy by yelling in her ear. Thanks to the extra-sensitive technology, he could shout at his fellow spy any time he wanted to. Daisy's relationship with AJ was complicated. It had always been. Sometimes, he felt like a brother and Daisy loved him in that way with all of her heart. Other times, he was nothing but annoying.

"I'm coming," Daisy replied. "Just hold on for one sec." She took a moment to grab her laptop and the six envelopes sitting on her desk.

"Daisy!" AJ yelled, but this time from the bottom of the stairs.

"Ok, ok. Look- here are the letters. I'll pull up the emails. I don't know who they are from, or what exactly they mean, but I don't think they're a threat."

"We'll be the judges of that," AJ said, frowning. "I don't appreciate how lightly you are taking this, Daisy."

"Well, I don't really think your opinion is necessary! Right, Grandma? He isn't important to this case. We don't need his help," Daisy replied, furious AJ would accuse her of not taking something seriously. Spying was everything to Daisy! She was the best spy in the whole mansion, except for Grandma, obviously. And maybe AJ, but Daisy would never say that out loud.

"Daisy, I'm sorry, but he's right. These messages pose a serious threat to everyone living here at the mansion. It is important that we take this seriously." Daisy's grandmother's words were gentle, but her eyes told a different story.

"I'm sorry, Grandma," Daisy said, without even a glance at AJ, who was smirking. "I promise I will be better from now on."

"Good. Now, as I was about to say, I am organizing a mission which will aim to find the culprit behind these threats. I assure you it will be difficult, but when they are found, the reward will be even greater. As for the criminal himself, the punishment will, naturally, be severe. This mission will be completed in the greatest of secrecy. Only the best and most capable spy will be able to see it through." By this time, both AJ and Daisy were picturing themselves completing the mission, coming home with the culprit, and being deemed the best and most incredibly talented spy in the entire world. Of course the punishment would be severe, Daisy thought to herself, This person has been threatening our secrecy for weeks now! She couldn't wait to see the criminal being brought in and justly punished.

"Well?" demanded AJ, stepping toward the older woman as if he were accepting the honor already.

"Well, what?" she asked, genuinely confused. "Ah, I see, you think you are to complete the mission alone," Daisy's grandmother chuckled quietly at the teenager's selfishness. "It's both of you! You're going to do it together!" the old woman said  joyfully. A series of exclamations and words of disappointment were exchanged. "Go on, now!"
