Sonic's POV

We get back to the ship with the clothing, just in case this ever happens again (I won't go through that again).

-Captain! We received the emeralds just some hours ago, but what happened to you? We were expecting you yesterday night.- Knuckles comments and asks, annoying me more then I am this morning.

-Charmy got sleepy, and none of us could carry him, so we got a room for him while "Mr. Hedgehog" negotiated with the host. And believe me when I say he was hard to talk sense into! We were up all night trying to make him give us the emeralds.- Amy suddenly lies with ease, surprising me with the ease she pulls it off. How many hidden talents does this woman actually have?! However, after that said, she left us there.

-Sir...I wouldn't like to make you mad, but was it just me or did the lass just...talk for you?- It's just as shocking for me as it is for you, pal. But not that she just talked for me, it's that I'm getting used to it! And I do nothing to prevent it...

I walk up to the steering wheel, and tell everyone to get ready to leave towards the next location. Everyone hears me out, and I look out over the ship, in case someone is doing something they shouldn't. And just as I suspected, Sonia and Amy are talking, while Sonia is teaching her to climb the mast.

-Who would've thought that the lass would turn into one of us, I mean like, for real! Don't you think it's funny captain?- Manic tells me and laughs. I stop watching the girls and keep my eyes out the horisont.

-What are you after this time, Manic? I'm too busy to listen to your comments.-

-Alright, you can keep pretending that you don't check that lass out as much as you want, but I won't stop annoying you until you stop being a coward.- That comment surprises me, and I turn to him to notice his very serious expression. He's annoying as who knows who, specially with him birthing first, but he haven't insulted me in ages.

-I never stopped you from ruining your life, and I'm in this mess with you to the end, but we both know that you can't keep this act up for very long if you can't even focus on holding it up in front of a child.- I look back to the horizon and block him out, as well as my mind. It's too dangerous to be there right now, because of one simple thing...

Amy's POV

I love my new clothes! They don't scrape my skin, and I feel so much more flexible in these! I asked Sonia to teach me how to get up the mast to help out with other stuff as well. I'll keep my post in the kitchen and cleaning up, but now I'll get something to do when I'm done with that! And it is to fix with the sails with the others in moments of need.

We've been another month out in these waters since the meeting with Sir Jones, but if silver is right, we're close to our destination. Heh, our...I can't believe that I feel like a part of this crew. I wonder why I haven't accepted this before! I have the freedom that I've wanted from the start, and I notice it now. I can't say I don't miss my old life now and then, but I feel much more at home with all these guys, that I even can call my friends sometimes.

-Pretty huh? The sea.- I look over at Knuckles, that stands beside me. I smile at him and look back at the sea.

-Not many gives themselves some time to just observe the scenario around them, and I must say, that must be a very boring existence.- I nod, I know that he's in his own thoughts even if he's talking to me. He just needs someone that listens when he's philosophical.
