The camping trip

This is my first story ive like ever written and im new to wattpad so dont expect some amazing story.. and i dont really know what im doing.. and everything is owned by me, this is a story out of my head that im making up as i go along, if someones name is in it or whatever it is completly by coinsodence and I'll try to not use real places.

Introduction

hi, my name is Alice, Im turning 15 in a few days so I want to celebrate my birthday doing something different.. I want to go camping.

Okay so i should tell you a bit about myself, as you now know, I'm turning 15 which means I'm 14 at the moment. I have curly (Out of control, crazy, curly) dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I have an older brother, Zack, he's 17 and a little sister, Lucy, she's 12. I'm not very popular at school because I like to keep to myself and am kind of shy, I do have a few close friends but that's it. Okay I dont think there's anything else you need to know about me so lets start my story shall we?

Chapter 1

I've decided to go camping with some friends for my birthday but i still have to aks my parents.. I haven't thought about this part until now.. what will they say? - I was so scared about what they would say because my parents never let me do anything that could risk my health, anything that could hurt "Their precious little girl"

After a while of thinking of what to say to them, I plucked up the courage and marched into the kitchen where my parents were and said..

'Mum, Dad? For my birthday, can I.. Can I please go camping?'  They sat there for a second, startled because they hadn't heard me come into the kitchen.

'Camping?! You mean camping in the back yard like you used to do when you were little?' My mum said hopefully.

'N-no, I mean camping as in, in the bush.' They stared at me.

'I don't think-'

'I wouldn't be alone! I mean, Zack and Lucy could come if they wanted, and I'd have my friends come too.' I cut Dad off before he could say no. Mum and Dad looked at each other, still unconvinced.

'Look, Mum, Dad, I'm turning 15, I'm not a little girl anymore, you can't keep me locked up forever.' I regretted it as soon as I'd said it.

'You're right, we can't, your father and I think that this could be a good experience for you, but Zack has to come and Lucy can if she wants to but you have to watch her the whole time, and make sure you drink lots of water and wear lots of sunscreen and wear a hat-'

'Thank you thank you thank you! This will be the best birthday ever, I'll be good, I'll be fine, I love you guys!'

I was overjoyed! I got everything organised and rang everyone I wanted to invite, Lucy and Zack were pretty excited for it aswell, mum and dad were still a little worried.. I dont know why though, it was just camping.. I mean, what could go wrong?
