You can't believe it, after all Bucky has been through Fury just had to send him on this damned mission. You woke up to find the space next to you cold and arms not around you this only meant one thing, Bucky had agreed to go. Bucky has been telling you about this mission and how he's going to get revenge on HYDRA for what they did. You DID NOT want Bucky going on this mission. Why? The mission was dangerous, infiltrating one of the biggest HYDRA bases yet, it was also long, almost three months if everything went according to plan. Bucky knew you wouldn't let him go but he had to do this, before he left he held your sleeping figure and whispered how much he loved you into your hair. You wanted to let the tears flow out, cry and scream and bring him back from this stupid mission. As much as you wanted to, you had to stay strong and show no sign of weakness, you were an avenger for crying out loud. Still in your pajamas, which consisted to be black shorts and one of Bucky's oversized T-shirts, you walked out into the kitchen of the Avengers tower, Steve, Bruce, Nat, and Tony sat at the table and all turned their attention away from their breakfast and mission reflections to look at you, a jumble of "Good morning Y/N" and "How is everything?" Came from the group of heroes. Not showing any sign of weakness or sadness you made yourself some coffee and said "I am fine." While you were pouring creamer into your drink you heard bits and pieces of their conversation, it was in a hushed voice so you couldn't hear. It was about Bucky's current mission something about "Might take longer than three months" and "Possible casualties" they looked over and saw you frowning holding back tears, so Bruce, Nat, and Steve excused themselves and went to a different room. Tony, who had always been a best friend to you, said "Come here kiddo" and opened his arms. You ran towards Tony and jumped into his arms, crying on his shoulder. "Bring him back Tony, call off the mission!" You sobbed into his shoulder "I will do what I can" Tony said feeling bad for you.

~1 month later~

Bucky's P.O.V.
A whole damn month. It's been a month and I'm going insane without her, not being able to hold her at night or kiss her is the morning. The HYDRA base brings back memories that haunt me and hurt, and the worst part is I don't have my Y/N to comfort me. I got unauthorized contact from Tony this morning, apparently he was able to hack the communication system because "He's Tony Stark" But apparently Y/N isn't doing good either, she can't sleep and has began to start being depressed as well as I. I have to get back to her, she's my happiness and I can't have her sad. Another week passed, I received a call from Fury that I am coming back. There putting someone else in my place for this mission. Stark was able to convince him that sending me back to this horrid place. Don't worry Y/N, I'm coming home.

Your P.O.V.
You lay in the same position on the couch you have been in for the past two days, your miserable without Bucky. You just want him back so badly and every minute is a "What if?" Until unexpectedly you hear a helicopter land on the roof, Tony walks in with a smile on his face and says "Go get him Kiddo.". You sprint to the roof, hopping out of the door on the side of the plane is the man who has your heart, his metal arm casting out a glare from the sunlight. You both make eye contact and you sprint towards him, he catches you in his arms and holds you tight like a lifeline, he kisses you multiple times and says "I'm here, I'm back" you whisper to him "Please don't leave me again" he gives you another kiss on the cheek before whispering in your ear "Always"
