Chapter 1 - Why?!

I've always hated them

"This man, guilty of several theft, including stealing the Mayor's golden necklace..."

For judging him so quickly

" who's crimes are heavy..."

like Inhuman... beings...

" that he is sentenced to death"

The female and her mother could do nothing, but just watch in horror, a noose around her father's neck . The man could not do anything... He could feel the rope circling his neck and his feet on the wooden stage. He was fired from his job due to a small mistake. No one accepted his job applications. His family was suffering poverty. He had no choice, but to steal. He was caught, trying to steal the fat and spoiled Mayor's precious golden necklace .He was arrested before he could explain.

He hoped to find a way to make his family's situation better. But in the end, he made it worse. And now, he was going to die, infront of people and especially.. his family. The speaker signaled and the wood below his feet disappeared. The gravity pulled him until he was hanging. [Name] could hear his bloodcurling chokes, but she could tell that her father tried to keep it all in. The man squirmed under the pain. His struggling soon faded, and there was silence.And [Name] realized... that her father was now gone.

"DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Beautiful.."

The man said as he placed a flower beside [Name]'s ear. He flashed a childish smile. She sighed and smiled back.Her fiance was like this... childish and outgoing... This was why she said "yes".He was giving her a smile.. even though the expedition was about to start. [Name] and her fiance tried to ask to not join this expedition since their wedding was next month, but orders are orders. She was afraid, maybe one of them might not come back, and they wont get married. But her fiance kept on telling her to be positive. She took a deep breath as the gates opened.

"Commander Erwin already signaled to retreat.... but why isnt Kent here yet?"

You got to your horse... it's been about 15-20 minutes since the commander signaled retreat. You were sure Kent was assigned near and he would hear it. You were nervous. You decided to search for him.

" [Name]!!! Where are you going?!!!'

You flew up with you're gear and searched for the area you're fiance was assigned to. You could smell the familliar nasty scent of iron. Oh no.. it was blood.

"KENT!!!!"

You called out, but there was no reply. You zoomed past the branches.. ignoring the scratches and wounds. As you were able to get out... you saw something unbelievable...

You were sure... very sure. The two figures were very familiar. But why... why is Captain Levi's blade stabbing Kent's chest?! You frozed, shocked. The captain noticed you and his flat emotion turned a bit shocked. He quickly pulled out his blade, leaving you're fiance's dead body. Tears formed in you're eyes...

"Why..."

You struggled to say

"WHY?!"

He pushed you onto the ground and pointed his sword at you're throat. He leaned down a bit.. and then checked the perimeter. He whispered into you're ear.

"Tell anyone about this and consider you're loved ones dead. Act as if nothing happened... is that clear, cadet?"

In fear, you hesitantly nodded. He got his blade off and flew off. You desperately crawled to you're fiance . His face was emotionless...you placed you're hand at the side of his face.. touching something that used to be warm. You placed a finger on his lips.. missing all the childish smiles he did which you wished you could've appreciated more.

You hugged his body,wanting one last chance to feel his warm hugs. But only his corpse's coldness touched your skin. You didn't mind the blood staining your clothes. You hoped to see him in that handsome suit while you walk down the aisle. You hoped to be the mother.. and he could be the father. All of you're dreams... broke into pieces.

But why... why did Captain Levi Kill him?
