The Prom Date

The Begining

ANABETH'S POV:

Diary Entry 1:

Hi!My name is Anabeth Kaylee Richards!I'm a country girl.I'm writing to you from a diary.When I grow up,I want to be a book writer.So,I'm practicing my life story speech,by writing what my life was like.I'm 13 years old,and all I've ever known was work.I Hope that I'll make some friends at this new public school, Westbrooke high.Westbrooke high is a school for 8-11th grade.I'm a little young for my age in 8th grade because,I turned 6 after 1st grade started.I started school,Before my birth month of May.

"Well  Anabeth",my mom said."This is our new city home".

I quickly closed my diary to get a quick glimpse of our new house.It was tan on the outside with a marble stone surrounding the edges.It had all of it's doors,and windows with a nicely painted black edge.It was 2 stories(Floors) high.

"So,Anabeth",my dad said "How do you like your new home"?.

Good,i said.

"Well,I love it Dad"!,my little 9. Year old sister said.She craves attention,and approval from our parents.

"Oh,Quit Tryin' to be the favorite Diana"!my big brother says."Your not the only child"!.My big brother is 15,and takes his role very seriously.He's always prepared to be the man of the house.

"Oh y'all just quit it"!my father yells.Our family fights a lot over the littlest things.Like last nignt before we packed,My Brother,Jake,forgot to pack socks for Diana,and my mom yells at 'im(him).They're plum crazy!

"Guys"!We got school,and work tomorow!Not to mention gettin' registered for school!We need to settle in,go shoppin',and we got to find our rooms!I said.

"Now,out of all of us,Why is Ana,The smartest one of all"?My mom says.

" 'cause she's wiser than Ole' man Mc'Gukin'(Mik-Guh-Kihn)"  my dad says.

"Okay,Ana,Your bedroom is upstairs,door on the right.Jake,Upstairs,door on the left,Diana,I don't want you botherin' your older folks,so your stayin' downstairs,far corner next to ours","and if anything happens,You'll be next door"my mom says."Now go!Start packin' "!

I rushed to my bedroom with my luggage.I opened the door and nearly collasped!This bedroom is huge!It's the size of a chef's kitchen,with a small dining room combined(The dining room part,is the closet)!There are dark brown,wooden dressers.I unpack everything,and neatly fold them and hang them up in the closet.My bed is a dark brown wooden bed,with pink sheets,and covers.

"Ahh.",I say satisfied."City life just might be a new adventure".

I hear a doorknock,and realize that everyone is unpacking,so I get the door...

I look up,and I see heaven on Earth.I didn't know that a male could look this GORGEOUS!!

He has Dark auburn hair,emerald green eyes,a pearly smile,and A great boy-band haircut.

"Hey",he said smiling."My name's Jonah,I'm your new neighbor".

"And Your cute....I mean,My name's Ana"."Its short fot Anabeth",I say sounding Dorky.

"Are you goin' to Westbrooke"?said Jonah.

"Yeah.I start school Tomorow",I said.

"Hey,Do you wanna hang out with me..Tonight"?he says.

"Yeah.What time"?,I say.

"8:00" he says.

And then He leaves.I smile,and laugh dorkily,and look at my watch.ITS 5:30!!!!!

I need to shave,shower,bathe,And pick my Outfit!!

"How about tell Mom,and Dad"?said Jake.

"I didn't realize that I said all of that out loud".I said.

"You didn't.I just heard your conversation".he said."I won't tell them,If you do my chores for a week".

"Aren't you supposed to be looking out for me?Saying that this is CRAZY?!That i'm goin' on a date with someone that I met 5 minutes ago?!?"I says regretfully.

"Well..Yes,but Thats one less person to babysit"he says.

"Babysit"? I ask.

"Yeah,Mom,and dad are goin' out tonight to search for jobs,and groceries"he says."They leave in 5 minutes,and should be back by 10:00"."If you get back here by 9:45,and change.Then you should be good to go"he says smoothly.

"You got this planed out".I say.

"Well,yeah.Diana is goin' over to an old friend of mom's house"he says."Now,go change"!.

I quickly agree,and rush upstairs.I take a shower,and shave.I pick a Sandy-brown crop top blouse,dark blue jeans( 'cuz I don't wanna look DESPERATE if ya' know what I'm sayin').I curl my dark brunette hair into a half up,half down,bun style.I put on mascara,and perfect my winged eyeliner.I put on some pink rose lip-stick,and gloss.I put on some pink blush to compliment my rosy cheeks.

I hurry downstairs,after I check my watch."8:00" exactly.

I Open the door to meet a smileing Jonah."Ready,Freddie"?he says.

"Ready,Ready",I respond.Jake locks the door after tossing me one if our house keys.I put the keys in my clutch bag.

We go to a nice resteraunt.I order shrimp,and garlic bread.He orders Pasta,and we eat.
