Chapter three
I open my eyes. It takes me some time to realize where I am and what happened. Then I recall that we were planning on rescuing Shakey. I rub my eyes and see that Jaël has also dozed off. Ritchie is busy on the laptop.
"Good morning." He says without looking up from the screen, "You fell asleep during the planning."
I scratch the back of my head. "Sorry." I mumble.
"Don't worry, Jaël was almost immediately defeated after you." I see that he has to smile. Then he stands up and stretches himself out.
"Maybe we should wake her up, I have an announcement."
I push her softly against her shoulder.
"Not now." She mumbles and turns around. I roll my eyes, take my cushion and hit her with it.
"Why did you do that?" She yells while getting up in an instant. I chuckle. Ritchie coughs to get our attention and we immediately gather around him.
"Thanks. The plan is simple. Around seven o'clock in the evening the guards have already brought dinner to the prisoners and they are eating their own. There's a total of thirty guards. My idea is to set off a small bomb at the gates. At the same time, I'll cut down the power. That won't affect the cell blocks since they are locked with keys. Mahubies can't break out since the surroundings are made of special material, just like the handcuffs. Of course the reason why I put off the electricity is because they were smart enough to put lasers in the air ventilation shaft and because of the high secured door that's between the cells and the inner courtyard. Anyway, when you hear the bomb explode, you have to crawl all the way into the hallways. I'll display the way soon enough. After you've accomplished that, you have to make sure that you get through the secured door. That's why it's important that you move as fast as possible. Time is important. If I can predict the actions of the guards, a few will check up on the power, others will check the gate and the rest will go to the cells. Make sure that you grab the keys that are in a desk near the secured door. It's important to possess one, since all the doors are Mahubi resistant. Some guards also wear them, but it's better to avoid most of them. Last thing to do, is to free your friend and get out through the gate. You can use your snow scooters to escape. That will be the hardest part, but I'm sure you'll be able to do it perfectly fine. I'll give you these Talkies to stay in contact with each other. I'll be monitoring the situation from here and tell you which way to go."
We spend the entire afternoon with preparing ourselves to do the dangerous mission. We study the maps and all our possible ways out. I collect my sword and daggers to use them. I give one of my spare knives to Jaël since she doesn't carry any other weapons with her than her sword alone. Ritchie hands us the Talkies and the bomb which he had made last night. Later, we depart with our snow scooters towards the prison. As the thick walls of it become visible, I realize that those are the only things between Shakey and me.

When we're almost at the prison, we descent from our snow scooters and push it silently forwards. We bring them to the trees around the walls and hide them there to use it later as our escape route. Jaël lays down the bomb on the snow. I remember that Shakey had told me that those are banned. I have no clue how they got a hold of one. Ritchie had assembled wheels onto it so he would be able to control it. We watch how it rides away on the snow. Then we run to the ventilation shaft. Jaël takes out a screwdriver and unscrews the screws.
"Are you girls ready?" We hear the voice of Ritchie through the Talkie. She takes off the plate and speaks to the Talkie: "We are now."
"Ok. Prepare yourselves."
