Run I told myself , just run. There is no place for you there anymore. If you stop running you're weak. Be brave and take your stand. No one cares about you. You're just the loner for god sake. Just forget about them. If they cared they would have stopped you. I've always been told that I dont belong in this world. Well im going to make something of my self and prove them wrong.

I mean I have the worst name ever, Barry Totem. I know, I know you're saying its not that bad but trust me at my school its the worst possible name ever. " OI TOTEM POLE" they shout at me. " Go back to your cardboard box " they say. See no one has ever liked me. Its not because I'm mouthy or because I'm aggresive or that I'm weird.  Its because I believe that everyone should have dreams. However, where I come from dreams are just that dreams. No one believes that they can accomplish dreams. Thats why I fight for ambitions. Sometimes I think its pointless but then I relive my dreams and I begin to belive again.

Hours had passed when I came across a small rusting shack full of brand new bikes . Maybe i could take one and get further away from the cruel boarding school i was enrolled in. Before i set off I slept under the shelter of the shack till the morning.

I awoke to beaming eyes and a wet friendly tounge. It was a small scruffy dog, as cute a new born puppy. It looked at my with sweet soroful eyes. I was going to leve when it began to yelp in fear. I turned to see a middle aged man with glasses, bucked teeth, short grey hair and a half torn ear. He was cursing and kicking the poor thing. It's face drowned in fear i couldn't just leave him here.  "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"  I shouted as firmly as I could. " Why should I whos gonna stop me." Claimed the grotesque man. "M-me" I stuttered. "Please a little RUNT like you dont make me laugh." "bog off you little rat."  He exclaimed.  This made me angry. " SHUT UP . YOUR NOTHING BUT A BULLY , NOW LEVE HIM ALONE" I raged. Then as if warned by my words he stepped back and quoted in a harsh hissing voice " You've got heart kid and thats gonna get your skinny little arse killed."  It was then that his words began ringing violently in my head.

After our ordeal me and  Sunny ( thats what I named the dog) set off on a journey that we discovered would change our lives.

When I was at boarding school we read about an ancient Totem pole ( I know its ironic what with my name ) that was hidden in a large cavern on the side of Alington rock hillside. The Alington rock was 200miles wide by 50miles wide it would take me weeks to find it but I would find it if the legends were true.

6 months passed until we found the cavern but what came next was a challange. We had to find the Totem pole of lord Fiddletons son who built it to take over the world. Legend has that it can make people belive anything you want so I would use to make people belive that they  can accomplish their dreams and that anything that seems possible is possible.

After 27 hours of searching...

So this is it. The Totem pole. I thought I had finnally found what i was looking for when something began to erect from it dreary state. Could it be. It was. The real son of lord Fiddleton. " Please leave now." echoed the once deranged man. " Only a doomed future awaits with this ancient Totem pole"

Ignoring the mans warnigs with my belif shattered I firmly placed my hand on the bumpy structure that stood proud in front of me. I was about to whisper my desire when flashbacks flooded my broad mind and my heart burned as hatred filled my heart. "Fight it with all my soul" I cried out in pain as I fell to the floor in agony. This may have been the thing that made  many people turn away in fear but this was the thing that made me stronger. All the time one persons words frantically stalking my every thought. mine. "Run, Just Run" Only I, my heart and soul could defeat doubt.

Suddenly, the world froze. I saw my life flash before my eyes. Had i won or had I lost just one of many questions floating in my mind. Then my questions were answered. struggling to breath i asked the crippled old man if I had won he just slowly nodded his wrinkled head.

After my epic battle all self belif was restored. Guess nothing was known by anyone as my life was as normal except I now had a faithful companion in Sunny to help me with my punishment for helping people. Oh and i've come to like my name considering all thats happened.
