I pick up my son from school.
We walked home through the park and past the shops. We got home and things look different. I grasped my sons hand tightly as I grabbed my phone.
"What's going on dad?" Asked my son
"Someone broke in!" I replied.
I frantically called 911 as I looked around my house. Windows smashed, tables knocked over, cupboards opened.

Police arrived and started investigating. We stood and watched. They couldn't do anything as there were no evidence or fingerprint. I wanted to protect my son in case anything happened during the night, so I let him sleep with me.

Silence...

I lay awake thinking about what sick person could brake in another person's house. I didn't want to scare my son by waking him up or looking around the house so I tried to get to sleep.
All of a sudden, I felt a cold brush of wind against my arm. I opened my eyes to see nothing. I tried to think about this properly and think it is was just the wind from and open window. Shivers ran down my spine hearing my name being whispered from the corner of my room. I sprung out of bed to see my wife standing there. She was in a flowery dress, the same one I last seen her in.
"Emily?" I asked. My voice was shaky with fear.
"Get out!" She screamed!
She was so loud that she woke up my son. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the house. We called the police as I watched a shadow walked passed windows. They arrived in minutes.
I didn't fully understand what was going on. I never seen my wife in 2 years. The police ran into my house and dragged a man into the police car.
"We've got your intruder, your house is clear now." Explained the police.

My wife was killed 2 years ago by an intruder. She came back to save us and tell us to get out the house as an intruder was walking to our room.
