Chapter 1~ I'm Fine..

Dipper P.O.V

I sat on the bank of the lake in back of the shack. My deer legs folded out in front of me. My ear twitched as I ran my hand up one of my large antlers. I was almost fully grown. I heard a loud splash. I felt my upper-human torso get drenched with water.

"HA! Come on Dip-Dop! Come for a swim!" My sister Mable said. 

She was a mermaid. So were her friends Candy and Grenda. Our Great Uncle Stan is a Gargoyle, and his twin brother, Ford is a sphinx. 

" Mable, you know I can't swim." I said annoyed. 

" Oh yeah, Well you should learn!" She laughed. 

I reached down and used my hand to splash her with water, and ran out of range.

"Try and get me now!" I laughed.

"Fine, you win." She said in defeat. 

I went back to the bank of the lake and used the rocks to jump to the larger one in the middle. I breathed in. The sweet aroma of pinetrees wafted past my face. Just then, a blur of orange sped by me.

"Oh, hey Wendy!" I shouted. She skidded to a stop. 

I swiftly hopped the rocks and approached her. I lifted up my ears. 

"Whatcha got there?" I asked, motioning to her hands behind her back.

"Oh...It's a.... a pheasant! Yeah. For Stan, Ford, and I." She smiled weakly.

I knew her reflexes were slow so I ran around her and my eyes widened. 

"W-Wendy." I stammered.

"Heh...Yeah Dipper?"

"W-Why do you h-have a d-dead d-d-d-deer?" I barely managed to stammer. 

She looked into my eyes and I fearfully gulped. She stepped towards me.

"D-Dipper," She reached her blood stained hand out towards me. I tripped, then ran.

"Dipper! Wait!" I heard her yell. 

I wiped tears from my face and ran to the clearing only I knew about. I went over to the blueberry bush. I started to pick and eat them.

CLICK

I jerked my head up. I twitched my ear and looked around. I saw the silver glint of a gun barrel. I silently ran back the way I came. I heard thudding footsteps follow me. I started running i a zig-zag pattern. I made a loud, nervous deer noise. 

BANG

I felt a shocking pain run up my leg. i wouldn't look back. Not now. 

BANG BANG

This time I shrieked. I felt a pain shoot up my spinal cord and my neck. I felt my neck. 

Blood.

BANG

I felt an indescribable pain shoot through my arm. I tripped and fell. Unable to get up. I closed my eyes as i heard footsteps come closer. 

"Oh shit." The voice said. 

The person tied my arms and threw me over his shoulder. I opened my eyes and felt a huge surge to scream.

"MABLE I'M FINE!!!!" I screamed as loud as I could, before blacking out completely.
