PROLOGUE

Knees tucked to her chest, a young girl of only 5 sat on the doorstep of their crooked house.

Cold was the wind that blew her hair in her face, but she didn't mind.

Even outside, her parent's shouts were audible, and although she wished it was not the case, they were all about her.

"She's not right!"

Her father's voice could be heard, anger in his tone.

Elizabeth could imagine the way he looked right about now, eyes darkened, and eyebrows screwed up, frown lines beginning to appear on his forehead.

She loved her father dearly, but in an argument, he literally just made everything ten times worse.

Pitch raised to something akin to a frustrated scream, her mother bit back a reply.

"Don't you think I already know that?!"

A single tear trailed her cheek, as they continued to act as though she was not there.

Neither cared for her much anyway, so it made sense that they would use that as an excuse to send her away.

Always arguing, they then wondered why she was so antisocial.

***

After a few hours, all noise had faded, and her mother called her back in, as if nothing had happened.

But eventhough she didn't want to admit it, it had.

"Darling we've decided that it would be best to send you away."

There is was - the truth.

The truth that she's been waiting for.

Finally.

All the characters rights, and the main plotline rights, go to Ransom Riggs, as he is the author of all the books titled, 'Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar children.'

Otherwise, the protagonist of this story, and her plotline, is purely all of my imagination.

If you copy it, you will be reported.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

For all, the rest of you, enjoy!
