One foggy night after Tea Maya's mother was coming back home after her long trip in Africa. Her mother said she had a gift for her (knock knock) Maya ran to the door, "Mother" she yelled she opened the door to her mother standing with a smile "Maya" her mother said with a proud smile mother Maya said and grabbed her mother's bags and went upstairs as her mother followed Maya opened her mom's bag and saw this very odd hand What's this maya said with a scared look. Her mother grabbed the paw and ran for the window Maya in a hurry grabbed the paw and ran to her room and hid the paw Maya!Her mother said where is it? Give it to me? I dropped it in the hall.Maya's mother hurried to the hall it's not there but if you find it give it to me ok?ok maya said with a sad look on her face
The next day after school
Maya ran into her house after school to see the paw in her mother's hands Mom?
What in the world are you doing? her mother looked at maya and lowered her hands um nothing nothing at all just looking for the ..... Cat.
Mom we don't have a cat? Whats going on why cant i see that thing mom answer me!
Her mother dropped to the floor.
Mom! Maya yelled at the top of her lungs.maya ran to the living room to the phone she quickly dialed 911.
5 hours later
The officer walked slowly to Maya with a very odd face "she's dead" he said. Maya's eyes filled with tears well were were will i stay.
The officer looked at Maya than looked at his phone your brother he said with a smile Brother? Maya said I'm an only child,
But you're not your brothers name is Jacob....he Lives in a small town.
Maya looked at her phone to see someone messaged her the message said.
Hey Maya its Jacob I'm your brother I hope we meet soon I'd love to get to know you but one thing never look at the paw or something will happen to you that you will never imagine but I love you goodbye see you in a few days.
Maya had forgotten about the paw and was now wondering where it was she looked where her mother had fell it's gone she said but where could it be I never thought that I would be looking for an old paw that looked like, it had been in a crappy dumpster all its life wait she thought what happens to the monkey that owned the paw why would someone or something take the paw of a poor animal Maya gave up looking and went to bed.
The next day
Maya woke up in fear due to a nightmare but the nightmare was about the paw she picked up her phone and messaged jacob

Wait! Get out of the house i'm coming to get you.
Maya: can i pack my things?
Jacob: ya but don't take to long.
Maya: i'm outside.
Jacob:i'm at the store i'll be there in five.
Maya: ok but hurry i hear something.

Maya: in the house it sounds like plates falling.
