Chapter 15 The. Best. Brother. Ever.

*few hours before The guy takes Skylar*

Nathan's POV:

I was sitting at my desk when someone knocked. "Come in." I said loud enough for Gabriel, the door guard and my best friend in this whole thing. He's the one that came in that horrible room and helped get me out. He shot whoever got in his way at the time, and I had cringed at the dead bodies but now I'm the one that holds the gun.

Anyway, Gabriel said "Nathan, these guys and a girl from the other night says they want to see you. They said their names were Jason, Cher and Liam. Should I let them in?"

I pondered. I knew them all except the girl but I know that Jason's girl left him long ago and so it must be Liam's girl. Why would they come? Was Skylar alright? Did she get killed? Okay you need to stop these thoughts Nathan. The only guy who knows my full name is standing there waiting for me to answer.

"Sure. Let 'em in." I finally said.

"Okay." After looking at me for a second longer, he left to get them.

I heard yelling from outside.

"They seriously had to pull guns out on us like we are fucking terrorists? That's just fucking stupid." A feminine voice said and I laughed. Shes feisty but not as feisty as Skylar.

"I'm sorry babe but that's how their business works." I heard a familiar voice say. I recognized it as Liam's voice and then I heard another voice

"well it is really strict I mean does it look like I have a weapon on me except for my hands?" definitely Jason's voice.

They all laughed and then Gabriel knocked and opened my door for them to come in and immediately Jason said "your security is stupid." I snorted and said "yeah and your voice is too loud. In fact all of your voices are so what the point in coming here? Other than insulting my security that is apparently keeping terrorists away"

The girl and Liam sat in the two chairs and so Jason leant against the wall. Now that I look at them, they all have bags under their eyes and just look exhausted.

"Okay did you guys get run over by a train? You look horrible." I said them.

"No fucking shit Sherlock." The girl said. The she said "it's obvious we are only here for about Skylar. And it's private." She pointed to Gabriel and so I nodded at him and he slowly walked backwards out the door and shut it. Once I heard him walking off I said "well there. We have some privacy. Get on with it."

"Well the reason we look like fucking shit is because of Skylar." Jason spat. "And the reason it's her is because she," Liam started but then Jason finished "after 4 years hasn't gotten over your sorry ass and hasn't been sleeping so, neither have we because of her screaming and all that nightmare kind of shit."

I was surprised, shocked even. She has been trying to get over me for the past 4 years and still has nightmares? Well glad I wasn't the only one.

But I still played my hard card and said "So? What do I have to do with it? I can't fix her and I'm horrible for her as you can see. So you'll have to fix her yourself because I'm too busy" gesturing to this office for my gang stuff and drug deals and orders for others to kill certain people who cross me.

Jason started "Well you know what asshole? We ain't leaving until you fucking agree to at least be friends with her and talk to her because for these last four years I've taken care of her when she was having those nightmares, laying in her bed and having to watch her in pain because of thinking you were most likely dead. Then when he decided to fake his death," Jason pointed to Liam "and then her, leaving after because she was about as depressed as Skylar was, I had to watch her cry everyday at the new fucking pain and while on top of that I was dealing with a breakup and her coming back and being an ass to Skylar and then the death of my brother too. So we aren't leaving. Never. You would have to kill us to make us leave."

Damn. They have all been through so much together. And Jason had to lay with her to keep those dreams away? Oh my god. I'm so sorry Skylar. I thought it would be easier for her to be away from me but the only one who could understand her and what happened in that kidnapping thing, was me. And I left her. God! I am such a douche!

"Fine. I'll get one of my guys to pick her up from her school and me and her will talk." I said.

"You should get her yourself. She'll be pissed if you don't, and let another one of your goons kidnap her here" The girl said.

"Sorry but I ain't scared of her." I replied.

They all snorted and then her brother standing up by the wall, said "did you see her when she punched that dead attorney in the face after our parents trial? She kicked his sorry ass!" Jason yelled and they all chuckled but I just rolled my eyes and and said "leave now and I will get one if my guys to go get her."

"Okay but don't be an ass." The girl said.

"Or a dick." Liam said after her

"Or a mother fucking dickhead!" Jason said after him and I laughed.
