Your POV:
"You.did.not!" I gasped as Colin told me another one of his funny stories.
He chuckled. "It's true!"
I laughed and Colin joined me. I was really starting to like him. We started to go on little 'dates' for a few weeks but he officially asked me to go on this one and I was happy to accept. Sure, he was a little desperate before, but that was before I got to know him.
Sometimes I think that the reason Jack and I broke up is because Colin is the one for me.
We continued walking back to (Y/BF/N)'s house. I felt Colin's arm make its way around my waist, making me smile. I felt my cheeks grow warm and looked down, the smile still not leaving my face. I mentally noted to thank (Y/BF/N) for making me go out with Colin.
As we continued our walk back, Colin never failed to make me smile. He took my mind off of Jack, but always vaguely reminded me of him at times. But I'd push those thoughts away. The only thing on my mind was Colin.
In no time, we reached (Y/BF/N)'s house. We stood at the end of the driveway facing each other. We held each other's gaze, and I soon found myself lost in his eyes.
"I had a lot of fun today (Y/N). I hope maybe that we could do this again sometime soon." Colin said.
I smiled at the thought. Today was fun. It distracted me from all my worries.
"Yeah, I think I'd like that." I replied while meeting his gaze. Once the words left my mouth, something dropped inside me, but I also felt butterflies in my stomach as Colin smiled at me.
He wrapped his arms around my waist again and pulled me in for a hug. I gladly rested my arms on his shoulders and my head on his chest and hugged him back.
Everything after that went by in a blur. At first I was hugging Colin, then I felt him be ripped out of my grasp and saw him be punched by the guy I least wanted to see.
Jack.
Jack's POV:
Anger poured out of me as I stormed up to Colin and punched him.
"Jack! Stop!" (Y/N) shouted as she pushed me away and bent down to where Colin lies on the ground, holding his face.
"What the hell man!" Colin yelled at me. He held his jaw where I punched him.
His attention soon went to (Y/N) who was kneeling beside him and asking him if he was okay. My anger subdued as (Y/N) looked at me with hurt eyes.
"I...I..." I tried to find an explanation but nothing came to mind.
"Just...just stop Jack. You don't just go around punching people okay?" (Y/N) told me sternly, her eyes never leaving Colin.
They seemed to zone out and pay me no attention. My heart breaks a little more as I realize that that used to me and (Y/N). Not (Y/N) and Colin.
"Are you okay?" (Y/N) asks Colin gently.
He smiles at her. "I am now."
I feel the jealousy return as (Y/N) helps him up. His jaw has a large purple bruise where I punched him, satisfying me a just a little bit.
(Y/N) glances at me and looks as if she forget I was there. She sighs and looks at Colin.
"Why don't you get an ice pack from (Y/BF/N)?" She says.
He nods and glares at me as he passes. Once he's inside (Y/N) turns to me.
"What is wrong with you?" She asks me sternly. "Can you not make my life a living hell?! I don't know what your problem is with him! He's a sweet guy and we were having a nice time together and then you show up and punch him in the god damn face! What the hell Jack?! Do you go up to all your ex's boyfriends and punch them? I didn't think so! D-"
I cut her off by doing what I wanted to do once I realized what I've done to her. I kissed her.
I felt her tense up as I did this, but she didn't stop me. I pulled away and looked at her shocked expression.
Your POV:
I tense up as Jack kisses me. I want to push him back and tell him that I choose Colin, but I can't. Something in my heart tells me not to.
He pulls away and looks at me.
"Why?" I manage to ask quietly.
"Because I still love you (Y/N). I will always love you more than Colin will ever. These past weeks I've thought about every moment we spent together and it kills me inside and out to know that I can never have another moment like that again...with you. I understand that I broke you and that you're furious with me for what I've done and I don't blame you. I hate myself as much as you hate me. But every night as I think about the times we had together, the memory of the look on your face when I hurt you crushes me the most. Knowing that I hurt you, the one person I love most in this world, kills me."
I stare at Jack in shock. He still loves me. But he cheated on me. And Colin...
"Jack-"
"No (y/n). I know you are still mad at me and probably hate me but I promise to never hurt you again. And I ask you, please, just give me one more chance."
I looked into Jack's eyes filled with hope. I'm about to say something when (Y/BF/N)'s door opens and Colin walks out with an ice pack held against his jaw.
He looks at me, then Jack, who still hasn't turned away from me. Colin comes over to us, him glaring at Jack.
"What's going on?" He asks slowly.
Jack doesn't answer. He still waits for me to answer him. I'm too stunned to speak.
"(Y/N)? What's going on?" He repeats.
"Jack-he-" I start but am shortly cut off by Colin.
"Let me guess, he's asking for you to take him back." He says rolling his eyes.
This makes Jack turn to him.
"(Y/N) in case you forgot, this guy physically harmed you. AND he cheated on you. Why would you go back to this guy? What's going to stop him from doing this again?" Colin asks me softly.
I look at both of them. My heart is torn in two.
"(Y/N) please." Jack says.
"(Y/N),I don't care who you choose, but know this,"Colin says,
I love you."
