It's yelled, and he inwardly cringes as he sees her flinch but he doesn't back off, stepping closer aggressively. "You need to get over it already! It's been months now, Tristan. We need to move on. You said it was ur-"
"I know what I said! There's been a change in plans. The kids are gone. They're safe. At least no bodies were found, so I assume they are. I did my job and Kole got to a new home safely. He's being taken care of." Tears threaten to spill and he tries to blink them away. "The necklace is in our hands. It's safe as long as I live." This response is not satisfactory to Ren. She yells, although it borders on screaming, "I thought this was your purpose in life, Tristan! What if we die? What then?"
"Then the world is over."
