Welcome to the world of Pokèmon! Wait... why do I sound so cheery? It's horrible here. No this isn't a creepypasta, the Pokèmon world you see isn't real, you die in this world, kids die on their journey. Freezing, starving and getting killed by pokèmon. Yes you can tame them but they will try and kill you. Now this is a story about one of the lucky ones. One of those who survived. The pokèmon die too. But that's rare.
It was a beautiful morning, the pidoves were singing their annoying tune. Except for that the only sound there was the leaves rustling. Claude was laying in his bed sound asleep. It was usually quiet in the small town of Nuvema. Claude was only 8 at this time. He had never had his own Pokemon before his came upstairs and shook him awake, on his nightstand his alarm clock stopped. "Honey, you need to get ready for your lesson with professor Juniper." He groggily got out of his bed, he walked to the bathroom which was located one room over. He looked in the mirror, his black hair was a mess. His dark blue eyes could unnerve some of the strongest opponents. Well that was what he wanted to think. He got dressed in his cargo pants and blank white t-shirt. He started to walk downstairs, that was where his mothers room, the living room and the kitchen were located. His mom was cooking breakfast, eggs and... well he preferred not to think about the meat. He pulled the chair out and sat down. His mom set the plate down on the wooden table.
"Hey mom, when will I get my own pokemon?" Claude asked in between mouthfuls of egg.
"When your ten child." She said in a soft voice that went perfectly with her brown hair. Claude went right back to eating. He finished up and got out of his chair.
"Mom I'm going to go see Juniper now. See you later!" He rushed towards the coat rack and put his backpack on. It was black, a small camera was placed on one of the shoulder straps. He went through the door and walked up to the lab. The door opened before he even got there, professor Juniper walked out and went towards the forest. "Jup!" He yelled as he ran towards her. She looked behind her and gave a smile.
"Why hello Claude! Are you ready to study pokemon?" She asked him kindly. Claude bounced up and down.
"Yes! So what's the pokemon we're helping today?" He asked innocently.
"Zorua, I heard Zorua calls from the forest earlier. I suspect someone's doing harm." She turned back around and headed towards the forest. Claude ran after him. It was then that it hit him. The sound of something in pain. He ran past Juniper eager to find the pokemon. A trainer stood in a clearing. In front of him was a Zorua, a gash was on one of its back thighs, blood was running from it's back. The trainer looked around nineteen. He was yelling at the Zorua. Another pokemon was in front of him. A poochyena, it's teeth was stained with blood, it must have been the trainers because that was the pokemon with it's back towards him.
"Poochy use bite!" The poochyena started to sprint towards the Zorua. Claude ran towards the poochyena and put his arms around the Zorua protecting it from further harm. The poochyena bit down on Claudes back. Juniper ran over to Claude, she looked at the trainer.
"What the hell do you think your doing here?" She asked the trainer.
"I'm catching this pokemon. Wha'd you think I'm doing? Fucking it?" Juniper stared at the trainer. She looked at Claude.
"Claude, can you use that pokemon to kick this kid into next week?"
"I-I guess." He got up, the Zorua picked itself up. Almost as if it understood what Juniper said. Blood dripped from its muzzle. "Zorua use tackle!" He yelled, it ran towards the enemy and pushed its head into it. It tried dodging but wasn't fast enough. Blood started coming out of its mouth. The trainer watched, stunned, as his pokemon was beaten.
"Wha-Wha'd you do?" He ran towards his pokemon and picked it up, then he ran.
"Well. Claude, looks like that Zorua really likes you! Why not keep it?" Juniper asked him.
"Y-You really think so?" He picked up the Zorua and held it in his arms.
"Yeah, that can be your starter pokemon." She smiled.
That Zorua, it was special.
