Dylan got the sleep out of the corner of his eyes, before walking over to the chair Lily was sleeping in. She was the easiest sister to wake up. Meanwhile on the other side of the room, Paula was waking up Rochelle. She is a hard sleeper, but not as difficult as Holly. It took a few minutes to get her out of bed. Then Paula and the rest of the kids worked as a team to wake Holly up. Paula found out a long time ago, that it was easier to get her up when the other kids helped. Dylan and Lily jumped on the bed while Rochelle smacked her with a pillow. And everyone was telling her to get up. Once she was awake, Paula sent all the kids into the kitchen. She didn't tell them who was waiting for them there though. She thought it would take less time than to tell them and in doing so waste more time. As they arrived they found Simon sitting at the kitchen table waiting for them.
"Wow, what took you so long?" Simon asked his children.
"Oh Holly was pain to wake up this morning," Dylan said, looking in her direction.
"I'm not a pain. I'm just awesome at sleeping," Holly replied with a smile.
"Anywhere where's Mum?" Simon asked, changing the subject. He also didn't want those two to start fighting.
"I'm right here," she said, entering the kitchen. "So what's my time?"
"A little bit under six minutes."
"See, I told you that I could do it!"
"Yeah whatever. But don't rub it in."
"What that I won or that you lost?"
"Yes that, don't do that."
"Oh I'll do as I please. Also I was right and you were wrong! By the way, you can't tell me what to do!"
As a response, Simon began to pout. He hoped that it would make her feel bad about hurting his feelings.
"Oh is someone sad because he didn't get his way?"
His pout immediately left his face and a smirk was left in its place. " Yes I am. But don't worry, I'll get you back."
"Oh I'm shaking in my boots."
"Um what's going on?" Lily asked confused.
"Oh Dad thought I couldn't you all up in ten minutes. And we did it with four minutes to spare. So now Daddy was just throwing a fit that I won and he lost," she said with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.
"So why did we have to get up early again? I thought that I heard you two say that we can sleep in today?" Holly asked, sitting on a bar stool and rest her head on the counter.
"I promise we'll let you all sleep in tomorrow, okay?" Paula said looking at all the kids, who were all struggling to keep their eyes open.
"We got you up early again because the six of us are going to tour London today," Simon said with a smile. He hoped that this good news would wake them up for good.
"Daddy can we please go to the aquarium, please?" Rochelle asked with puppy eyes and a pout.
"We'll see, darling. So get something to eat and then go get changed. I want to be in the car by ten. That means you have one hour to get ready, so get to it," he said while looking at the kids.
They left the house right on time. The first stop was Harrods. Before they let the kids go shop, they had a family meeting, but it was more like a huddle.
"Okay guys you can only pick out four items, so choose wisely," Simon said with a grin.
Each kid picked out a shirt with either shorts or jeans. Also they picked out two accessories. Dylan picked out sunglasses and a baseball styled cap with his favorite soccer team's logo on it. Just like their brother, the girls also picked out sunglasses as one of their items. But the girls picked out purses to match their outfits. Holly's purse was small, red and covered in rhinestones. Lily's purse was royal purple and had a lot of beautiful printed flowers all over it. And Rochelle's purse was pink that was outlined with glitter hearts sewed into it. Just like her daughter, Paula also picked out a purse. It was a designer purse that was black, which is a neutral color. She also picked out two more rings and a necklace as well. But as for Simon, he didn't find anything that he wanted to purchase. Everyone was so grateful to him for all the items their parents bought for them to enjoy.
