The Moon

The beauty of its iridescent glow
Outweighs that of a field of wild roses,
Making them appear no more beautiful
Than a fly on a wall.

The power it has over the seas
Is more spectacular than the power
Of the mighty winds
Over the leaves in the trees.

Up there in the heaves,
The Moon stands proud,
Serving its duties,
Helping distinguish day from night.

It appears to be small,
And yet it is so big.
So mysterious and unknown,
Oh, the wonder of it!
