CELINE
I flew into my room, throwing down my bag onto my study chair before diving straight onto my bed. Today had been an extremely hectic day in school, now that all the homework has started piling in, and I was indeed drained. Not to mention that I still had to work on the classic author project with Martin and Jayda, which I reckoned to be pretty complicated since Jayda has now taken the form of Mr Lambert's body and I had to have my discussions with her in secret. On the brighter side, it turns out that Martin joined my Chemistry class today as well, and he's my new lab partner now, so that simply meant that I would no longer get to deal with those annoying bottles of acid on my own anymore.
Back to the project, we did need to set up another group chat in order for us to discuss. I scrolled down the list of chat windows on my messengers, pulling a poker face at each one of them; I had too many group chats listed, so no point making another one unless I want to deal with an even messier menu screen. My eyes hovered past chat window after chat window until it finally fell on the Emergency group chat I made earlier with Jayda and Mr Lambert; it's been silent for quite some time already, since we had nothing posted in the group helping Jayda and Mr Lambert to switch back into their original bodies, so I might as well multitask and double that up as a project group chat. After all, once the small project is out of our minds, I'm sure Martin would make a great addition in helping to find out about the spell in my necklace that probably caused Jayda and Mr Lambert to swap bodies.
My fingers swiftly flew from one icon on screen to another, and within a matter of seconds a short notification message popped up in the group chat. You added Martin.
And yes, in case you were asking, I did ask for Martin's contact during lunch break this afternoon, which he gave to me back then and that explains why I could add him into our body switch emergency slash Creative Writing project group chat. Speaking of the group chat, the second I added Martin's contact into the member list two replies had sprung up onto my screen.
Mr Lambert: You added Martin?
Jayda: You added Martin?
Never knew both my best friend and her favourite teacher shared the same thought process as well. I immediately took to my phone keypad and crafted out an explanation for the both of them.
Me: I'm kinda lazy to make a new project group, so I might as well add him here to make my life easier. And also because right after we switch you two back and Mr Lambert claims back his phone he can exit the chat and it'll just be the three of us left, piece of cake.
Me: And one more thing, he could be much help with the whole body switch plan. You'll never know if he comes in handy.
I'm pretty sure he would, some day.
Jayda: I see, good idea Celine.
Mr Lambert: Celine, direct message me. We'll talk in private.
Oh crap. When Jayda texts me privately it's normally when she has really good news or really bad news, and the same goes with me as well. But I'm pretty certain that she's not going to be too happy with me adding Martin into our body switch emergency group chat.
I backed out of the group chat and tapped on the chat window with Mr Lambert, where a new unread message written entirely in capitals glowered at me from my already glaring phone screen.
