"Please, don't do this Maya. I'm sorry, I should never have done it." Laila pleaded. Her voice shook with every word, while she forced onto a table, with her wings strapped down.

"You don't deserve your wings, for what you have done." Maya chose her weapon. A small, but sharp, knife and placed it onto the skin at the end of Laila's wings. The pain was excruciating, while Maya dug her knife into the young angels back. Tears poured from her eyes and ear piercing screams exited her lungs. When one wing was gone, she thought it was all over.

Before she could let out a sigh of relief, the knife pierced her skin again. Blood stained her clothes and white wings, that were falling from her back. Laila's piercing screams echoed through her home.

When Maya had finished, she turned to the wounded girl and sighed. While cleaning up her wounds she said,

"There is a chance at redemption." A smirk appeared across her face.

"Anything." Laila's voice shaking. However, she was not expecting the task she was given.

"Go to earth and take the devil out of a man." Maya spoke, sternly. Laila felt the rush of air fall over her, she was moving to earth.
