Boy meets girl.

She likes lazy Sunday afternoons on the freshly cut lawn, and he likes spending Friday evenings watching sports with friends. She likes vanilla frozen yogurt, and he likes chocolate ice cream. She likes the breezy spring, and he likes the chilly autumn.

It takes awhile for them to overcome their differences with each other.

Him and her become friends.

They have problems, but they do not need to cry to each other, because their time together is worth a thousand infinities compared to such trivial complications. They just sit on the front porch during sunset; talk about how the day was, how tomorrow will be like.

and she doesn't really notice it,
that exact moment when it becomes different,
when sitting by him doesn't seem like a platonic
thing anymore.

All she knows is that she madlycrazilyobviously likes him. She can't figure out if he feels the same.

So she starts dressing in floral skirts and wearing perfume whenever he comes round for the sunset. She tries those flirty looks in Cosmo magazines and starts consulting blogs. She makes their hugs last a few more seconds than they normally do. She doesn't think he notices.

Surelyinevitablyassuredly he notices the changes when they sit on the porch.

and it takes him awhile,
but he asks her to come to the theatres with him.

She isn't sure what going to the theatre with him implies, but she dresses up for the event. She revels every second in the movies near him, and is positively thrilled when he kisses her goodbye (but only on the cheek) at her front porch.

he asks if she'll go on another date with him.
she says yes.

It happens a few more times.

and even a little ways down the road, they still don't cry to each other, because they don't have anything to cry about. they still sit on the porch and dream of tomorrows.

She still likes lazy Sunday afternoons on the freshly cut lawn, and he  still likes Friday evenings watching sports with friends. slowly. carefully. eventually.

But she likes him, and he likes her. It is mutual.

Because they don't overlap, or leave gaps between. They
