Sizzling. Burning. Hot. What more can you say about a day of Summer in San Diego? The blaring sun shoots through the window, across my freckled face, and eventually reveals my luscious copper-brown hair. I look out the window and see the usual; the too perfect vast ocean seen from anyone who has the time to look, a yard too green to be true, and the usual red Camry pulling up the driveway revealing a too perfect Hunter; and my best friend Laura.

I dash down the stairs and run outside to find the two, revealing my tall, elegant figure. My wavy tank flows back into its stationary form as I give a sharp halt, and my shorts/flip-flops reveal my casual attire.

Laura glances a look at me and gives me a thumbs up.

"Looking great girl! Maybe you can catch some guys while you're at it"

She gives me a wink, and I can't help but smile.

"You too Laura."

Unlike me, she isn't lacking in the boy department. With her long auburn hair, and a great sense of fashion, one can only describe her as fabuIous. I ruffle her hair up while she tries to keep her sunglasses from falling off of her head. Hunter flashes us a grin. He places his arm around Laura.

"Ew gross! Hunter you're all sweaty!"

Hunter waves his arms around her as she playfully shoos them away. He gives her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I got the car ready. I packed a few drinks so you two have something to wash your words down with."

He gives us his usual chuckle which reveals his sweet, charming smile. His white shirt is damp with sweat which renders his shirt nearly transparent. Subconsciously, I dart my eyes at his unruly brown hair, down to his built chest, to his sculpted thighs. I quickly look away so I'm not caught with rosy cheeks.

We head to the car and find ourselves driving right away. With Hunter as the chauffeur, Laura and I have a bit of time to catch up after a few days apart.

Back when I was a small kid, I moved in with my dad to a small house in San Diego close to the local café that my dad owns. There I met my neighbor Hunter, and gradually became friends. Then on I formed a one sided love for the boy next door. Attending school was difficult as the new kid, but then I met Laura. Hunter, Laura, and I were like three musketeers. Those two were all I needed growing up...

"Hellooo! Earth to Audrey!"

I wince back to reality, and give Laura a quick nod.

"Sorry, just a little tired."

"Don't sleep yet! We have a party to catch up to! Woot woot!"

Hunter gives a complimentary howl, as we race down the road happy and complete.
